Hello Guys,

this maybe really the oddest post you have ever read but heres the thing... i am looking to purchase a new television and my heart has always been on a 50inch or higher Plasma, LCD ( not sure whats the difference) flat screen. So by all means, the reason for this post to ask if of you out there work in Electronics industry/retail industry that could get a hook up on one? I used to know someone that worked at Best buy but he left a job while back so he can't do anything for me so thats why i am asking all you lovely people. Thanks

Just a quick question... when you are asking if someone in the industry can hook you up... are you implying that someone ought to get you a FREE 50" Plasma or LCD TV or a heavily discounted one (i.e. employee price)? Nice first post... LMAO... but please pray tell why should someone get you a product that is normally well over 2000$ ans / or use their limited employee discount for you (when most staff have plenthy of family and friends they can use it on)? I mean here is a cheap Plasma for over 2000$

I don't know about 50 inch, but video games on my 55 inch are more fun! Wii Sports is a blast on my 55 inch TV.

Why not just start a "plasma TV special?" I don't know what your rates are but discount them slighly or do something a little extra for your reg rate...maybe add time .. and see a few guys and, bingo, you got enough to buy a plasma TV.

Just a thought.

First of all, thanks for taking your time and replying to my post. Heres the thing.. i live a normal, average life and i really don't want to pay so much money. I do understand ppl working in the industry have friends and family but you can always take the time to make new friends. So the summary is i just wanted asking for someone who would be kind and sweet to help a girl out.

Fair enough, but this thread just takes obvious and blunt materialism to a new level for me... So an introduction to you as a friend may (in this case) start off by giving you a major discount on a Plasma TV...lol.... Okay.... but in a world of QUID PRO QUO.... if someone gets you a say 25-50% discount for example... thus gaining you as a friend I assume... but what will you give them.... in the amicable spirit of friendship...? Or are you going to tell me that having you as a friend is worth any and all $$$... just because you are you.... because if you are then that sounds like some club girls I know... "Hey... buy me a drink.... just because I am pretty and talking to you..." LMAO!!!

Ya know,
I've been in electronics and computers all my life, and lots of people ask for favours and discounts.....but last I remember....I made the rookie mistake of asking a tgirl escort for a special rate/discount and she went all postal on me.... I learned that one fast. I now understand that it's offensive. To be honest, I feel the same way when someone wants what I can provide, but wants a discount on it.

I suspect that if I posted a thread saying that I was a hard working guy looking for an escort who will give me a discount.........well....it wouldn't go over very well.

Make friends first, ask for advice, and I suspect that someone would offer to help you, because of friendship. Short of that, at least make a business proposition offering something in exchange. I have a few clients who trade services for my services. Anything's better than asking for a discount. IMHO

Okay boys this is getting a little out of control. My intentions were never to come across as a cheap, manipulating person. I was simply just asking if anyone was willing to help me. I have no connects....but honestly...I've got to ask what you are going to use the TV for?

TV? Movies? Gaming? Will you get an HD box (cable) or like Express Vu as well-------if you don't get either one don't bother....all you'll have is bigger pictures....not better pictures (unless your TV is kinda old or old)
