I was wondering, is it safe to assume that when looking through the shemale escort ads in an Eye or Now, the hottest trannies will always have pics and bigger ads?
I mean when you see that ad with no picture, in the smallest font at the bottom of the page that reads:

does it go without saying that this escort is neither particularily hot, and by no means a playboy centerfold?
Logic would lead me to believe that but maybe there are some diamonds in the rough?

From the few posts that I have read about people taking the plunge on those tiny ads, few positive results come. I am confident to say that there are no diamond in the rough tiny escort ads since if they were these playboy women, they would have the huge ads. The only way you would get a diamond in the rough and that is if a new girl decides to emerge and is unconfident about her looks, despite she is very good looking. Then in that case you will get to see her before stardom and she will escalate to the position that most popular working t-girls are at now. I presume before she escorted she would find some other t-girls and if she was that good they would make her big by ways of the lounge or goodhandy's who will accept all applications of new t-girls. Go with your gut in these things. There are more things at risk with these girls too, their low key may mean that they have diseases or they are more of a crossdresser with a ego. There are some smart ladies who really know how to promote their businesses. They have a decent understanding of business in general. From what I see these same girls are doing alright for themselves.

On the flip side:
It has always amazed me how some girls can have such poor business sense, hardly promote themselves, provide consistantly poor service, bait and switch, and never reply to emails/pm's...etc, and yet have no clue as to why they're not as busy as other girls.

Well there is always some diamonds in the rough in the ads with no pics.
Sure they can sometimes mask some hideous creatures, but they can also be much hotter.
I have found many awesome tgirls from such ads, many are in their early development.
Not so bad as they may not be as jaded at this point.

Some girls that do it part time or want to stay low key will only put a small ad.
A few only work by word of mouth, but those are usually the best ones.
Most of the picture girls are the full timers, those are the ones most first timers and visitors will choose.
Of course the local journeymen must consider the text ads to feed their desires.
Many smaller cities only have text ads but some really hot girls behind them.

Often the ones that sound too good to be true, are to good to be true.
Vancouver I called an ad something like this,

So I think as far as service goes you probably will find mixed service calling both picture ads and non pic ads.

I have done both types of advertising and here is what I found!

I have done a picture ad in Eye/Now that cost almost $400.00 for the week. I got about 30 to 40 calls a day from it. I only saw about 6 clients in that week.

I have done word ads in the same magazines that cost about $60 to $100 for the week. I got about the same amount of calls and the same amount of clients, so for me it is not worth the extra money.

The ad sizes and pictures do not matter, most are air brushed and most tell you they all have 9 inches, words and pictures are not always the truth. Girls with websites and girls who have been around awhile are the ones you should trust. If she is all that, she will be smart enough to have an online ad and reviews. No ads online, no real pictures and no reviews why bother taking the risk to only get let down and then bitch about it later!

These are some simple tips on how to start off right with a girl:
1) Do not say your a first timer because we hear that all day long and it is very old and in most cases is untrue. Who ever started the saying “great with first timers” I would love to bitch slap!
2) Do not try to make the girl lower her price, if you do end up seeing her your service will be shit because it really is an insult to the girl.
3) Never ask for discounts, what are we “Wal Mart”?

You show respect to most girls and you will get respect in return. I agree with you Rants, I have only been once and I stated it was my first time. I would think that her experience in the market would lead the girl to know whether the guy is telling the truth or not. Nonetheless, I think if a girl sees the person for the first time then technically to them they are the first timer. In order to give a good impression you should give them a first timer experience anyways to keep them coming back or that can be used in any general. I am honest and I would not lie and say it is my first time when it really isn't. I guess sometimes it's hard to find honest people these days. Asking for a discount when you get there is crazy. I started on Dec 8 2005, and hard to believe, got only 1 client that week ( i thought it was 3 clients, but my note only wrote 1 client on that week). I guess no body wanted to see "au naturel" lady at the time. Besides there is a little trust on this industry.

So, yes...a big display ad does not or at least give only very little contribution to the number of clients you will receive in a week.

Another point I have to say on this subject this and this is to the girls.

If you notice that the ad cost has gone up so much in the last 5 years it is simple. Some girls get bigger and bigger ads to make there ad more noticeable and out do the other girls. If they stopped doing the “mine is bigger” the ad rates would have not other choice but to go done in cost and it would benefit us all.

Look at Now, there used to be a lot of girls in that paper, most girls stopped advertising because the cost went to high when Now thought they could raise the price. But within one year of the girls not adverting the cost of an ad was ½ the price. When they think that they can take advantage of the girls working, they will. It is up to us to be smart and not let them…

Most of my clients as well have never heard of this board and the ones that do really do not post on here because of past problems and I make it clear, review if you want but let us keep some details to ourselves because some people like to run with things…

I do not depend on escorting as the main form of my “incum”, I could if I really wanted to do 3-5 clients a day but I am not in that mind set these days and when you do that the services suffers and it is just not worth it for anyone.

Advertising is really over rated in the papers; I hardly ever have ads in the papers because most are just a waste of time, cost way to much money and do not benefit me. Also this will sound strange but it is true in any case, the class of guys from the internet and the whole experience with them seems to be better for me anyways. There are a couple of guys from the internet I would rather never see again, but it is my job to always smile and be nice…till they leave anyways…lol

This maybe because it is easy to get a free paper and call all the girls where as the internet you have to work to get our information. Guys from the internet already know my details and simple just book a time, no questions asked, simple for both of us. Guys from papers ask the same questions to every girl and seem to always try to bargain with me.
