A very odd turn of events... Baxkpage is no requiring escorts to post links to social media accounts. I find it very bizarre considering that a girl quite possibly could be making personal things available without thinking about it first. This could lead to an unsafe work environment for girls if not done properly. I made myself an account set to private with pictures I only use for escorting purposes.

Create separate Facbook and Twitter

Just create a separate social media page for escorting and link to that. I did see one lady I know -- a GG -- link to her Facebook site with her real name and pic. She quickly changed it when she discovered that. There seems to be no explanation about why backpage requires these links. Must be some U.S. legislation or rule.

It must be to try and make it look more like a personals ad... Backpage no longer gas escort sections in the USA version of their site...

The only problem is that Facebook technically only allows you one account.
You can create other ones but if they ask you to prove your identity.

They blocked my Crag Rockheart Facebook page because i could not produce photo ID stating I am Crag Rockheart.

Maybe you can use Shemale Canada as your social network.

We can also provide domains that point to your profile on SMC.

I guess they think a facebook somehow shows you are real?

You can only use social media sites. My friend tried to use her Shemale Canada profile and it would not allow her to. It really doesn’t sound like a very well thought out update. Craigslist killer ring a bell?

Why don't they just use instagram, you can setup an account with just an email, use the same pictures as your ads.. Pretty easy.

I can't even see the Canadian backpage site. I think it's time to get VPN software so I can log in from some other Country where I'm not censored. If I try to go to http://ca.backpage.com it auto forwards to http://us.backpage.com/ There's a lot more to backpage than escort ads but I'm blocked from the whole site! Before long, I'll try crossing the border and I'll be denied because I could be coming up there to see an escort! Ridiculous! Since when is an American looking at an escort ad illegal?

I don't see the problem, some people have like 50 Facebook accounts. I got rid of one of mine a while back, and still have one or two lying around somewhere, but I never go on them and forgot the passwords.

It makes no difference. Whether I try to go to ca.backpage.com or toronto.backpage.com or any other city, they all auto forward to us.backpage.com
I don't know if it's that way for everyone in the U.S. or just my Internet Provider (Spectrum formerly Time Warner) but it's irritating!

I don't see the problem, some people have like 50 Facebook accounts. I got rid of one of mine a while back, and still have one or two lying around somewhere, but I never go on them and forgot the passwords.

The social media link required has been there for awhile. I've seen many that just use www.facebook, com as their link. Though I just saw one on BP that used her ACTUAL REAL page!

If it isn't a revenge post she must be incredibly naive or not the sharpest in the drawer.

When Facebook wanted me to prove who I was by sending a picture of me holding my ID, I just started another page by slightly changing my name and using a different email account.
Like THAT was gonna happen!
