To keep everyone updated. This message is from the police who dealt with this situation in a professional and effective manner. I am sure there will be more information to come.
"Just to let you
know that a seventeen year old male was arrested yesterday for the
sexual assault and stabbing of the transgender sex worker in the west
end. There was also a second victim that came forward and further
charges were laid againts him for the second victim. Due to the Young
Offenders Act, I cannot provide you with any information that would
identify him because he is a young person under the law. I can tell you
that he is a very dangerous young man and we are fortunate that no one
was stabbed to death.
The victim recognized him on the street and contacted me at 5am. 911 was
called and the rest is history. We have one dangerous male off the
street thanks to the first victim who called..."
