Of course women don't need as much but still some.
It is important for muscle development, bone density, sex drive, strength, mood and energy.
Unfortunately taking Estrogen may cause you to produce more Testosterone to compensate for the added estrogen.
When you start playing with your hormones you are changing the balance that is arleady in your body.
You should really only be taking the right amount of estrogen for your body, if you are taking more then you testosterone level could be higher than it should be. T blockers can reduce the testosterone but may reduce it too much.
You body is just trying to balance itself while you are trying to unbalance it.
Your body knows best what it needs, so pay attention to what it is telling you.
People that have unbalanced hormones can have unbalanced moods and be sick alot.

I just went to this clinic where another ts told me the doc gave hormones and as I was already like 10 months into my transition and i showed her the stuff i was taking she just gave me them pretty easy.
I just googled her for the first time actually it just says doctor, specialiste en sante sexuelle and family doctor.
I actually felt better than i had ever for like the first yr almost , like fine without drugs and energized and wanting to be outside and have ppl see me, then it just went back to something like before but still without hormones i think i would be much worse. I just wish i could feel like those first few months again!Shyla Wild

If they are looking out for your best interest they should be monitoring your levels every 3 months with bloodwork anyways.
I?ve been on estrogen & blockers (Spironolactone & Finestride) for 10months and feel amazing!
Yes, I'm under Endo's monitoring. First few years we were doing check up with blood works almost every two months and I also felt amazing! Now I don't need to do it that often. I reached optimal levels and he even increased my spiro dosage but it just killed me. He said there has been not much research done about this topic (for a non-op trans girls) and all they have is an approved protocol for girls who are going to do SRS in future. I have few friends who already undergone srs and i just wanted to hear from girls who are in this work field.
