Re: how to save pics when you can't right click

Um...I also found that when you're on a webpage you can also press and hold down the "Alt" and "Prt Scrn/Sys Req" buttons at the same time. This allows you to "capture" the entire page, photo and all. Once the page is captured you can then open it in Paint or PS or some program that allows you to see photos.

admin, maybe you can explain it better...lol..I'm not good at explaining tech stuff.

however if its not new it is because I always use firefox and always have that unchecked anyway.

            hey good one redundency

hmm well rantsalot thats a screen capture so ya you can do it that way too but that you are not saving the image you want you are saving the whatever is being shown on the screen of your computer as one big image. But thats very useful...especially to save copies of purchases like from ebay and what not. here is free software as not everyones computer has print screen program I think http://www.gadwin.com/printscreen/Lic_agreement.htm

Hali guy hmm i think if you uncheck that you will have problems logging into your email maybe....like hotmail. That's what I tried. It's not new for sure ...actually pretty old...they really want you to be coming back to look at their content/not steal it for other purposes. Not just save it to the computer.

You can check it and try right click saving these images to see how it works.

If a pic is "locked" and you can't right click it...
Simple, drag and drop to your desktop....

                    Screengrab option

Just use the Firefox add-on Screengrab:

                    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1146.

You can capture an entire page or just the visible portion, then crop the image with any image manipulation software such as Gimp, which is an open source version of Photoshop:

                    http://www.gimp.org/

Alternatively, pressing Ctrl+U will bring up a web page's HTML text where you can scroll through and locate the .jpg link most of the time, as long as you're using the Firefox browser. I would avoid IE at all costs. IE is really just a toy for 5yr olds. It looks like a browser but it doesn't really do anything.

You guys miss the easiest one.

Just save the entire webpage in IE and it will save all the images and the web page too.

I think Firefox does the same thing.

In the past I would just use the source code for the page in the view menu, and find the direct link to get past the no right clicking. That might be more work then the other methods though.
