    Re: Has Paige changed?

"So long smallwave Good Luck with all you chose to do. So long girls and be safe. thup

Oh yes all Truck Drivers and Drag Queens....very very sorry "

It's the end of an era. It was too good to last (sheds a tear).

bubblebrains wrote: "it may not be the classiest profession but since when are we defined by the work we do "

errrr..........Lisa stated i have no class. She brought it up. IT MAY COME AS NEWS TO SOME BUT ONE OF THE DEFINING FEATURES OF CLASS IS PROFESSION!!!!!

Money is just one of several factors that contribute to an individual's class. A drug dealer kingpin who's a millionaire is not considered high-class. Neither is a well off madame. Being a high-class call girl doesn't refer to her class but rather her client?le.

Level of Education, where you went to school, your profession and income all define class.

For a more detailed account of class consider these books:

Class, A Guide Through the American Status System (1983) by Paul Fussell
Caste Marks: Style and Status in the USA (1984) by Paul Fussell
Social Class in America by William Lloyd Warner
The American Class Structure by Gilbert and Khal

Perhaps i'm being too pedantic, but i expect a certain amount of precision and familiarity with the terms being used. Then again, I may be the one who's too "high-class" to appreciate how these words are being brandied about in the common parlance by the lower orders of society.

      Oops - correction.

It wasn't bubblebrains who wrote: "it may not be the classiest profession but since when are we defined by the work we do ", it was Lisa.

Should have known. His lack of understanding is infinite.

        toban says:
"Now you are calling prostitutes "low class, even lower than truck drivers" yet you are here in this forum because you want to get with one. That doesn't make sense, man! If the girls are to be thought of as low class, as you say, then does not being with one cause you to fall right into that class yourself. Well, that's actually beside the point, because your posts have already put you in that class anyway."

Toban my boy you really need to think long and hard about what you say. Logically you are on thin ground.

A person who is considered "high-class", that is, someone who's >== multi-millionaire and went to the right schools, has the right education (from private schools on up through university), lives in a high-class neighbourhood and was born into the upper class may employ the services of someone of low class (a chauffeur, a maid, a gardiner and yes - even a prostitute).

So no.......being with one (a prostitute) does not cause one to fall into that class itself.

If so, then anyone of upper, middle or upper working class is lower class if they've used the services of a pizza delivery boy or a cabbie.

        Hope this helps Toban.

              Thanks for clarifying.

It's just so much fun to wind you up. El Paco is the first man I've ever known who could ever do deep throat with his own foot.

No wonder he's looking for a new anal outlet!

              BTW:

There is more than one meaning of the word "class".

              Quick definitions (class)

noun: elegance in dress or behavior (Example: "She has a lot of class")
noun: people having the same social or economic status (Example: "The working class")
noun: a collection of things sharing a common attribute (Example: "There are two classes of detergents")
noun: (biology) a taxonomic group containing one or more orders
noun: a body of students who are taught together (Example: "Early morning classes are always sleepy")
noun: a body of students who graduate together (Example: "The class of '97")
noun: a league ranked by quality (Example: "He played baseball in class D for two years")
noun: education imparted in a series of lessons or class meetings (Example: "Flirting is not unknown in college classes")
verb: arrange or order by classes or categories (Example: "How would you classify these pottery shards--are they prehistoric?")
