Is a Payphone call a blocked number?

I know what you mean - I do not have a cell either but seem to manage OK without.

A payphone call is not "blocked" but does come up on the display as something like "Bell Payphone" with the number of the phone! A "Blocked" call means that you have deliberately removed your indentity and number, which of course leads immediately to suspicion.

The main reason I believe girls tend to ignore such calls, is that a valid phone number at least provides them with some minimal means of verifying the authenticity of a caller or tracing the origin should it be necessary. They do this for their own protection as there are some wackos out there and a few girls have encountered bad times, even death from them.

I suppose that you would be unlikely to succeed in making an initial contact via payphone but if you have made contact with them beforehand from a known number, say your hotel, and they ask you to contact them when nearby, as is a common practice, a payphone is usually acceptable in that case then, and some will actually direct you to a specific payphone for which they know the number. In one case I am aware of, the phone booth is directly across the street from her apartment and visible from her window.

I don’t think so its call blocked or anything. Press *81 and then dial number it will show up the number that you calling but tell the girl that you are calling from pay phone and you need to know her suite and buzzer number if its possible.

I have done that sometime cus My F*King PDA phone dies to quick so there is nothing wrong with calling from payphone.

just be honest to girl don’t just waste her time if you are just calling to find out her donation then tell her straight up instead of just joking around with her on the phone.

Dont unblock your number

The reason they want you number is so they or the police can trace u if something happens. If the girl gets hurt and reports it to the police they will track down your number and come and visit you.

If your ok, but the guy after you is a nut, expect the police to come and see u.

You can imagine how uncomfortable that would be to some guys...

As these girls get attacked, and some have been murdered in the past, they do this for security. Hey i dont blame them, but your a fool if your giving an unblocked or identifying number... and just waiting for the police to show up at your door step one day....
