uh, it would seem to me that if the criminal thinks you have a gun, he/she would get a bigger gun and be prepared to use it a little quicker, then you'd get a bigger gun and want to use it a little quicker, then suddenly the country would have the highest rates of handgun deaths in the world...or so the theory goes.

I lived in the midwest USA for several years and frankly, Yanks are way too gun crazy for this Canadian. Everyone is packing...but people still get robbed, shot, abused, etc...

Long guns are not generally a problem, as they can not be tucked conveniently into one's shoe or underwear..."hey, is that a rifle in your pants or are you just happy to see me?" I had a date this evening who came into my residence.He seemed very nervous and i was getting the feeling he was going to be a problem. as i asked him why he was nervous and looking around my house he said his friends were waiting for him in a car.I tried to get him out of the house and started swinging a baseball bat at him as he was coming at me i hit him in the arm and grabbed him and kicked him with my stilletoes! I am fine thank you lucy!,ana,sauga and capitus.I think my trip out west here is helping and I believe that is a very isolated incident as i am pretty good at feeling out my clients before i book them.I spoke to the detective who works with us and he will be charged as she explained to me that i have every right to defend myself in my own home.Anyways im good guys Im enjoying the pride celebration here in Vancouver!!Happy Pride!!

You dont want an AK pointed at you. Just the sound is frightening. An AK is short, bet you could hide one under your skirt.

The US and guns is a "catch .22" (pun intended), all the places I want to carry a gun, it is illegal because of all the gun crime.

I dont know about you, but if some one is shooting at me, I wouldn't mind being able to defend myself.

Also can you have tear gas instead of mace? We used to be able to get military tear gas, that was until stupid people would use it in elevators and tear gas them selves along with the attacker...
