I loved the new Batman movie, but I agree with the leading lady comments, she just didn't do it for me, that's shallow and superficial of me I know ,but hey it's a comic book movie
My favourite all time comic book movie is Sin City, great stories, action and style plus Jessica Alba playing a teenage stripper, what more could a man ask for?

You're right, she's 31 but the wrinkles and bags under her eyes and sagging jowels make her look 40. My favourite super hero movie would have to be Spiderman 2 and the first Superman movie. Superman II is a very close 2nd.

I, however, disagree, but again I understand how it's all just opinion anyways. I think that someone who's a district attorney shouldn't necessarily be drop-dead gorgeous, even plain and "girl next-door" looking. The character is supposed to be a childhood friend of Bruce Wayne that he's very close to, so in that matter looks shouldn't count for everything.

On another note, my "top 5" list goes like this:

The Dark Knight
Iron Man
X-Men 2 (3 was the WORST)
Spider-Man 2 (again, 3 was the worst...wow)
tie between Sin City and the original Superman (even though Superman is kind of lame).

Since we talk about movie.

I just saw "La Vie en Rose" on DVD last night. A movie about the well known french singer, Edith Piaf. It's so good...and it's so real..it's almost like a real documentary film. I was crying almost the whole time.

This is one of the best (Along with "the Artic Tale" and Ratatouille).

I forgot about X-Men. It was quite good as well. It would be my 2nd favourite. I didn't consider Sin City a Superhero movie. I thought it was a comic book movie not a classic superhero film. If it does belong to that genre then it's my favourite superhero movie.

Finally saw this "oh so fantastic" movie and left the show after the first hour. Then again when it comes to film and music I've always hated mostly anything mainstream.

Yeah. I was already told more than once by friends "Man you suck! You suck for not liking that movie." I then say to my friends and acquaintances "How does it suck to have an opinion?" and then they usually reply with "screw off" or remain quiet.

All because of a movie.... A MOVIE!!!! LOL

Whats even funnier is how every now and then I'll come across some people acting soooo superior and psyched after watching a movie they really like.

You want to see Batman then go see Tim Burton's "Batman" or "Batman Returns" all other films pale in comparison.

As for super hero movies in general , well , I got lots to say on that too but I'll have to save it for another day as it's late.

For the record I saw Ma vie en Rose and thought it was good as also Ratatouille.

"Life is beautiful" is an excellent foreign movie. Shawshank Redemption is also on a list of favourites for me. A famous Japanese movie by the name of Battle Royale has been the best movie I have ever seen come out of Japan. Just thought I'd throw this in because people discussed other movies they liked. Anyone ever see the french movie called, "Ma vie en Rose?" The one where the boy dresses up as a girl and gets penalized for it. It's an interesting watch and you feel terrible for the boy.

I'v also seen Ma vie en Rose. Very good movie.
I used to be obsessed with Battle Royale years ago, but after watching it more then a fair amount of times, I can recite all the lines, and haven't watched it since lol.

For the movie as a whole, I also prefer Tim Burton's Batman, but I did enjoy The Joker in the newest also.

best foreign movie

Oh some of us like (good) movies..like myself

those who love tgirl's life...there are some foreign movies need our attention:

1. Madam Sata:
A story about black TV/drag performer from Brazil who has to endure racism and a hard life as being a black TV. It's very touchy...and the actors are excellent. Highly recommended

2. Beautiful boxer:
A film about a beautiful thai boy wanted to become a woman. He came from a very poor family, so the only thing for him to do his transition is by being a boxer..a pro boxer.

She (after all the dramas ) did it at the end., even though of course it is hard for her to become a pro boxer. O my God..just imagine a tgirl has to fight physically for life.

You can rent them on DVD (there is one on church and wellesley)

What a great movie, Heath was incredible, deserves all the attention for the acting as he is getting.

On a negative note, I CANT STAND BALE as batman.
