Local matters and the RCMP

Eastern Canadian members of the Forum should realize, but perhaps they do not know, that in Western Canada there are no Provincial Police as in Ontario and Quebec. RCMP do all provincial policing and in many cities and towns they do all of the local policing as well, generally under contract.

For this reason it is not unusual at all to see RCMP officers on duty at any of the Western airports. So what tsevana says happened to her is not at all out of line in that RCMP had spoken with her. Particularly in some communities in Alberta where licensing of all escorts is mandatory, whether male, female, transgendered !

Now then, who is the FINK who started this action? If evana knows in fact, who did the dastardly deed, what should his punishment be?

Prostitution itself is legal in Canada, with restrictions.
However if you are not a Canadian citizen, it is illegal for you to do it anywhere in Canada or work anywhere for that matter. This is where the RCMP could become involved since this is a Federal issue.

In Calgary Municipal Police have jurisdiction. RCMP generally only have jurisdiction on Provincial highway routes and Airports as they are not municipal entities. I suspect RCMP have jurisdiction in all Canadian airports since they are federally governed.

Anyway in Calgary there is bylaws that require escorts to be licensed, Edmonton too I believe. However this would be enforced by Municipal police (ie: Calgary Police Service) not the RCMP.

Anyway the police in Canada and USA monitor this sort of thing and often try to refuse entry or deport those suspected of working in prostitution in their country. USA is worse because it is more likely you will go to jail for a while first. Then you will never be able to visit these countries again, or at least for a period of time.

Anyway if a guy reported you, I am sure there is some jealous Tgirl behind it. Since there is virtually not working tgirls in Calgary, probably someone from back east.
