Thailand, Could ya'll be kind enoguh to help me out

hey everyone, im off to Thailand next June with my best mate, and neither of us have been before, basically, im just asking for any advice/tips on the best places to go, and maybe some advice on where not to go for safty sake etc.

ive heard a few things about nana plaza but not a great deal, if you could help it would be greatly appriciated!

If I was going I would go to Pattaya, where there are great beaches, and a thriving ladyboy population. In Pattaya there are many ladyboy bars, great restaurants, and large beaches. Pattaya is about 140 KM SE of bangkok, a cheap bus ride.

Use the forum search and you will find a few posts from me already on this topic.

Nana plaza is a good place to start, since it has a mix of great Ladyboy bars, and Lady bars.
Stay at the Dynasty Grande hotel, close and great for first timers.
Everything you could need is in the neighbourhood and very safe.

Pattaya is dying due to lack of tourists and other reasons.
There is still zillions of tgirls there but not as safe as Nana Plaza at night.
Walking street in Pattaya is a must see though, it is about 2-3 hour drive south of Bangkok.

Pattaya is a must see but I still recommend Nana for the beginner.
The bars in Nana are more controlled and girls who work in them are top notch. Pattaya is full of free lancers and just isn't as safe as Bangkok, there is a higher chance of getting robbed in Pattaya i think.
Never take a tgirl off the street in Bangkok, there is a reason they don't work in the bars. When you take tgirls from the bars, they are expected to continue to represent the bars value even when they leave with you. Free lancers don't have to answer to anyone.
You have to know what you are doing more in Pattaya.
If you are picking up tgirls in Pattaya you had better be checking their ID first, if they don't have ID on them take a pass. The law requires all thais to have their ID on person, so if they say they don't have it, they are probably under age. The other thing to familiarize yourself with is what the year is in Thailand.
In Thailand it is the year 2551, not 2008.
So for a tgirl to be 18 they would have to be born in the year 2533.
However Pattaya is dying, as I say.

Sure,its not the same it was 10-15 years ago but thats depends on your perception of things.To me its more apealing than ever.Fewer tourists means better choices because of lack of competition and better bargains as well.

I think Pattaya is great and everyone should check it out, but the ladyboys are better in Bangkok, plain and simple. True Pattaya is cheaper and on the beach but it's all relevant, you get less quality for your money in general. Plus the beaches are not clean in Pattaya, much better to go to Phuket or Samui if you like beaches.

Pattaya isn't even what it was one year ago and is only a small fraction of what it was 10-20 years ago.
Nearly half of the ladyboy bars in Pattaya have closed in the last year and many others are up for sale.
There is many reasons for this but,
Pattaya's red light district/walking street was originally created to service the many Military actions in the area starting with the Vietnam War in the 60's. This was also responsible for the large number of Ladyboys in Thailand. If a family didn't have a daughter to send to Pattaya, they would send their son as a lady instead.

Walking street was probably at it's peak in the 70's, and is the home of the phrase "Love you long time", so it does have much historical significance. Now that there is very little real war going on in the region, Pattaya can no longer support the type of entertainment it once had.

The world morality is shifting and while sex is more acceptable in general, uncontrolled red light areas like Pattaya are being frowned upon.
Plus Pattaya is a center of child abuse, like you would not believe.
It happens in Bangkok too but it runs rampant in Pattaya.
Most of the boys in the Gay gogo bars are under 18 and a majority of the tgirls on the street are underage too. Tgirls have to earn their way into working in the bars in Pattaya so mostly they are old enough, plus bar owners don't want trouble with authorities.

The other thing is Thailand's economy is booming and it is getting more expensive to visit there because of this. This also means there is more jobs and options for Thais, they are not forced to work in the sex industry to make a decent living. Ladyboys can get jobs almost as easily as anyone else in Thailand, so less of them are working in the sex industry too. Parents also are not as inclined to force their children into the sex industry as they were in harder times. The world rice shortage is really going to sky rocket Thailand.

It used to be, a tgirl would go to Pattaya to start a life in the sex industry, but now days they are more likely to go straight to Bangkok.
Most of the bars in Bangkok are run by the police/mafia so they are run very strict. These bars are their bread and butter so they don't mess around with bad or diseased girls/tgirls. That is why I think you will find the safest, hottest tgirls in Bangkok, it may cost a bit more but worth it.

My cigarettes were stolen by some tgirls from my table in a ladyboy bar in Pattaya, when I went upstairs for a bit. This would never happen in Nana plaza, the girls would be too worried about being fired. (not that smokes are a big deal, just the principle)

I met my LB GF in Pattaya but she said she wouldn't go back there because her bar has closed since she left in March. She can make better money gutting fish in Bangkok these days than trying to work sex/bars in Pattaya.

However I would suggest anyone that has not been to Thailand as a sex tourist but wants to, should do it soon. I suspect the face of Thailand will be changing, including less ladyboys.

Jeez, that sounds rather exploitive. Kind of a turn-off really. I would rather see a Tgirl that wanted to do it rather than wanting simply to escape crushing poverty, or because their parents told them they had to do it (which kind of pisses me off).
