Top Model to Include its First Transgender Contestant

The new season of America's Next Top Model will include Isis, the show's first transgender contestant.

"My cards were dealt differently," Isis, 22, told Us. The aspiring model is from Prince George's County, Maryland, and describes herself as "a woman born physically male."

Her historic turn as the show's first transgender contestant, though, isn't why she's getting on the Top Model runway. "I like to help people, but I'm here to follow my dreams," she said.

Yet, GLAAD leadership is still applauding her addition to this year's group of models wannabes. "We applaud Tyra Banks and The CW for making this historic visibility of transgender people possible," president Neil Giuliano said.

I better make sure I don't get hard watching the show with my significant other sitting next to me. I have to act all like, "God all these girls on this show are just average compared to you honey." Sometimes I'm a Bud Lite commercial. LOL

When I first relocated to Virginia from Los Angeles this was late 2004 the Trya Banks Show had an episode and it was a take of America's Next Model called America's Next Top Transgender Model with that Janice Dickinson lass being one of the judges.Amber Vaughn (a.k.a. Claudia Charriez) being one of six contestants and of she won I believe it was Yasmine Lee who was the runner up.I immediately recognized Amber Vaughn owning Joey Silvera's video Rogue Adventures 12.

I think Amber was first discovered by Tony Vee for Shemaleyum.

She was also one of Shemaleyums first models.

I believe you're right Crag,because I noticed in Joey Silvera's early videos and this being number 12 whenever he would make the trip to New York in video in the opening credits a special thanks to Tony Vee.
