Important facts about initial HIV latency period

Before I started studying medicine I never knew about this:

Upon HIV infection the virus has a latency period of about two to three months. During this time you will not notice any symptoms, and the virus is undetectable. It remains as RNA scattered about in certain types of cells; primarily those with CD4 binding sites.

Scary Stuff!

Remember "Pre cum" can carry HIV. Blow jobs are not fun to give though a condom, but you never know nowadays.

I have a LONG paper I'm writing about it. but I'm going to cut it down to key points.

It scares me to death.

2% of the USA adult population has it. 1% doesn't know it!

In Congo (Africa) its a full out epidemic.

I will post up my paper after I trim it down some so more people will read it.

I'm sorry, but that's a pretty ignorant comment. Are you saying we all have HIV and don't use condoms or something?

The reality is that trans-identified people actually have higher rates of condom use, and trans sex workers have the highest rates of all. I just finished writing a paper on trans people in the sex trade, and discovered that most fears were actually unfounded. However, if people use condoms because they're afraid, that's actually a good thing.

Right on. Gender and sexuality have nothing to do with this now pandemic/epidemic STD.

If anything t-girls are less likely to have HIV as we have no reason not to wear protection.
