Nice to meet some of you last night! Shout out to the 2 folks they said they’d seen my posts here 😊

Some thoughts on my first time:

• It seems like a decent safe space for trans and non-binary folks to dress as they like. Having used M4 Tuesday for this historically I appreciate there’s a place downtown we can do it too. Plus the cost of entry is WAY more fair for men. A bargain deal, really.
• The atmosphere is good. I like that the walls are decorated with various things, bookshelves, and it feels cozy. Tables seem well organized for mingling.
• There was a good social energy overall and I had a good time chatting with folks.
• A lot of quiet men at their tables too. There’s some shy guy energy in the room, but I doubt any of us bite… unless you ask for it 😝 I’d love to see more guys making chit chat proactively. I guess there’s a bit of a sales things going on though in many cases, so I get that maybe people are quiet if they don’t want to waste a girls time with no intentions? But I don’t see why a couple minutes of small talk, a compliment here or there, or buying someone a drink would ever be poorly received.
• That back outdoor area is a nice little social space too, probably one of the most relaxed social areas in the place
