It's a strip club with something extra

It's basically a strip club with tgirls instead of GG. I find that most tgirls only go topless for their 3 song set. To see the full monty, you would have to get a private dance. I was there last fall and it was $20.00 per dance. When a tgirl is not dancing, they project hardcore tranny porn on a big screen behind the main stage. I have been there only a few times and only for the afternoon shift. I found it a bit slow but the upside is that the tgirls tend to spend more time talking to you. What else are they going to do in a sparsely populated bar? I don't know about the evenings, probably more busier. But remember, they are there to make money.

Not necessarily, one girl pulled the old, "do you want a second dance?" after only removing her top on one song. I can not remember who it was though. That is why now I always tell her upfront how many dances I want.

The Lounge - End of an Era

We have been running our T-Girl Strip event since March of 2003. We have mutually decided with Diamonds Cabaret to close the event. The last day will be Wednesday April 28 2010. It is the end of an era.

The main reason we are discontinuing this event is that Todd and myself want to concentrate 100% on our downtown venue Goodhandy's. We have been putting a lot of effort into renovations and improvements in the club, and will continue to do so as we move forward.

We will be holding T-Girl burlesque nights starting in May, every Monday and Tuesday evening. There will be shows from 10:00pm till 1:00am, in a similar format as The Lounge. And the ladies will be available to join you in the sex-positive Diamond Room, between their shows. And of course our Thursday nights at Goodhandy's, "Wall-To-Wall T-Girls", will continue as always.

We will be allowing all Gents, Couples and T-Girls to attend on Mondays and Tuesdays. And we will be scheduling certain T-Girls to entertain on stage.

The other reasons for closing the Lounge event:

Some people have been getting sloppy about leaving condoms in the booths at The Lounge, therefore bringing attention to sexual activity. Sexual activity is not allowed at The Lounge, and we have tried to enforce this over and over. Diamonds Cabaret does not want to lose their Adult entertainment license, so they can't continue with these complaints being brought to their attention, and we do not blame them.

They have no intention of housing T-Girl events in the future, unless we decide to start this up again, because of our already established positive relationship with Diamonds Cabaret Management. And there would be much tougher rules put into play.

We have also been dismayed at the number of public postings regarding The Lounge, on message boards. These postings imply exchange of money for sex at our event, and continue to insult the up-keep of the venue.

Todd and I have numerously defended our case, and sometimes enough is enough.

The people who consistently complain, berate and moan about our event should be proud of their contribution to the end of this era. We only hope that in the future people will start appreciating what has been provided for them and keep their whining to themselves.

If you do not like our events or our venue, please feel free to stay at home, and stop bothering the rest of us consenting adults who wish to have fun, and overlook minor flaws in our T-Girl venues and occasional faux pas in behavior. These things usually get fixed and resolved in time, but some may never get fixed. We are both advocates of the decriminalization of sex work, and we sincerely hope that the Supreme Court challenge (currently underway) by brave radicals and volunteer law students, will result in a much freer Canada. In the meantime, we all must live in a world of grey areas and we would hope that those intelligent consenting adults that have similar philosophies to ours would use better common sense in their public communications.

Thank you all so much for supporting The Lounge event for so long, we really have enjoyed your support. We will be handing out free passes to Goodhandy's to those who go to the Lounge this month and we hope you enjoy coming to our new Monday and Tuesday T-Girl Burlesque Nights at Goodhandy's.

Please note: We will be scheduling as many ladies as possible this month, including return appearances from some past crowd favorites, with the intention of "going out with a bang!" So please enjoy the last month of the Lounge with us.

wow i know a ton of people are gonna miss it but monday and tuesdays with the new format sounds amazing at goodhandys.you guys do an amazing job for a heck of alot of girls so thank you so much for allowing me to be part of it for along time.im sure most if not all will welcome the change with open arms as goodhandys is a beautifull place with really cool staff so congrats on the move and i hope those who have a chance to go to the lounge for the last time will show up and pack the joint as it really is an end of an era for sure.

This for me was very sad news when I heard about the closing. I really enjoyed my first time back last month and who knew then it would be my last. I was looking forward to going back next month and enjoying myself once again. But everything happens for a reason!

I wish I was able to go and be part of the bang, as you all know I always love a good bang! But with my US tour planned for the month of April, I will not be back until May. I also am just going to enjoy my past thoughts of my last night working at the Lounge. I had a ball, made a killing and met some hot & sexy men. It was truly a very good night and thank you Todd/Mandy for having me that one last time!

Thank you Todd & Mandy for having the balls..hehe. To start this event in the first place and lay the path to where we are today with Goodhandys. If you had of listened to all those "NA SAYERS" or the girls that thought "it is not classy" back when this first started. You would not have the success you have today with all your past/current events.

I think Mandy has said this before "It is not the end, only the beginning of something bigger and better" I think this is a good time for a change anyways.

I will not give credit to those low life's who felt the need to allow there bitter thinking and public bitching because of there own personal issues in life be the reason your event closed. Mandy has always changed the events into better events. The way I see it, in the end, they did not win. They bit there own hand off like a rabid dog. Goodhandys will surpass The Lounge and there own actions will prevent them from being a part of it or benefiting from it in the future.

So to them, I say THANK YOU...more money & a better experience for the rest of us who respect & are thankful to have a place that is safe and where we are treated like humans rather then money makers or freak shows!

Anyways I think I have made my point clear! Congrats on all your hard work paying off and cheers to the gold filled condom road ahead!
