  • setting up a bachelor party in Montreal

    Allo everyone,

Going to be setting up a Bachelor party for a friend of mine and we are going to go to Montreal, was wondering, I want mainly girls but is there a place that has the odd Shemale in the club? I don't want to scare him or anything I want one for myself haha. If we went to the normal strip cubs do they have different rooms with them in it? I've never been to Montreal so I'm not sure.. thanks

I don't think you are going to find anywhere with girls and tgirls in the same strip club in Montreal.
The closest I know of is Club Cleopatra on St. Laurent.
There is a girl strip club downstairs and upstairs a cabaret club known to be a tgirl hangout. It used to have amazing drag shows and full of super hot trannies but I don't think there is much to choose from these days.

Plus it isn't actually a strip club but you could easily sneak up there for some tranny company if any were around. It is the same owners and entrance at the strip club. You could easily call a tgirl to meet you up there too, that would be your best option.

There is a tranny club called City Bar on Ontario St.
It is not a strip club but the tgirls are mostly working.
Also a tranny massage house somewhere too.
Possibly if you found a strip club near one of these other places it would work.

Otherwise you would pretty much have to choose one or the other.

      Club Wanda's

Just a little further down is a thread from Bibiane. She says she has made a deal for the multi-room Club Wanda's to have female and shemale dancers.
Is that a cock in your panties, or am I about to get slapped in the face?

She subsequently said that they backed out over concerns the tgirl thing would hurt their "straight" business.

          Hi,

Yes, That is precisely what happened. I have entertained this idea with them and then when we were ready to begin the upper management desisted themselves from having us working their top floor, by fear of damaging their existing straight business.

I haven't found another location yet for this project. I have talked to Grooby about opening a Club in Montreal, without any response yet from them. I have spoke to Todd from GoodHandys to open a club in Montreal, without any response. I think that the perfect model operation would have to be along the lines of The Crazy Horse in Paris, or The Moulin Rouge, done with class and maximum discipline type of organization. I am still working on the idea and actually discussing with French club owners in Paris. But these guys don't joke around. If that deal works out, the girls will have to behave and work to make things work for the best.

Its just a matter of time for this to happen. I am working on an international club type of appeal with feature tgirl dancers from all over the world kind of venue. That would also be good business for Montreal. The mayor has approved the project already.

But the toughest thing is the strip-tease club license. For this reason, it would be more feasible to have a burlesque kind of club that would operate as a Private Club.

Seriously you should look at opening Cleopatras that way it used to be in the old days with great shows and a rocking crowd.

Why it has to be a place where there is stripping and massage i am not sure, that only restricts the crowds that will come. It also makes it much more of a social crowd rather than a strictly business crowd.

You could have tgirls working as performers, bartenders, waitresses, hostesses. All could get paid and make tips, plus meet clients.
Bartenders and waitresses can make good hundreds of dollars on busy nights.

It is upstairs and owned by a strip club so it shouldn`t be so hard to get some burlesque shows going there I think.

Cleopatras 10+ years ago was one of the best tranny bars around with the hottest shows and the Tgirls were amazing.
Straight couples came from miles around to see the shows.
Tgirls flocked and worked there every weekend.

This is the type of thing that would take off internationally and be a draw. Just another sleezy stripclub/massage parlour is just that, you can get than anywhere.

Also you should asking people like Grooby, tgirlforums and shemale canada to sponsor nights, not to open whole club in another country or city.

Otherwise you should just arrange monthly parties at rented venues or something like that.

              Hi Crag,

You are confusing the hell out of me. I have never said that it was going to be a strip club where massages are offered. I don't know where you got that from? And I am not talking to Parisian club owners to open a club in Paris, but to invest over here, because there is no money here in Canada.

I have heard many times about Cleopatra's, but honestly, I am not interested in that neighborhood. That entire block is too sketchy and we have no clue of the future it holds at the moment with respect to its real property. Who would want to invest any money in a place like that.

I am thinking that it would be best for everyone to have the club right next to the Montreal Casino. It has more of the Vegas type of appeal and Moulin Rouge type of flair. It would also be quite an attraction for people to go to. Its highly touristic but also very local since its The only Casino in Montreal of this magnitude and appeal. A club there would be Uber Glam and quite the kind of venue Montreal needs at the moment. But, I am looking for $5.5 Millions for this project.

Anyone interested in Canada? Going once, Going twice, ...

Sorry if I am confusing you.
                Just offering suggestions.

However i have been invloved with trannies in Canada for 15 years and know how things work here.
I managed nightclubs for another 12 years and have a business degree.

You do keep talking about massage and strip bars all the time so this is what type of place I am assuming you would like to open.
Is it a club, a strip bar or a massage parlour or what?

I am offering idea after idea and even offering money and help.
Your idea is too high class for the likes of me I guess.

There is lots of money in Canada.
However No one on earth will invest millions and millions into a tranny bar in Montreal, unless they are so rich it doesn't matter.
It is not going to be world class beside the Montreal Casino because as you know people are afraid of tranny establishments.
It may be discrimination but that is how people roll around here.

Looking at realistic locations in Montreal where there was a fanatasic tranny bar at one time. I am not saying buy the place, I am saying maybe lease or other.
Get a foothold then move somewhere classier if you like. There is also many other vacant clubs nearby there too.
The nice thing with Cleopatras was they always could make use of the bouncers downstairs in the strip club, it was a good arrangement.

It isn't the best place in Montreal, however it is a much better location that City Bar.
It is also right off St. Laurence by many hot nightclubs and strip bars and just down from the Gay district.
Nothing wrong with the location at all.

The street may in transition but there is lots of businesses there and theatres and everything.
That side of the street has lost some businesses but the club itself with some clean up is still fine and nice.
It also is a busy location where you don't stick out and can have some anonimity.
Other locations people would feel self conscious about being seen going into a tranny club, if it is near many straight establishements. In Canada to most people, Tranny = Gay.

Vegas doesn't even have this type of thing and the moulin rouge is not really trannies.
I have been to Tranny clubs all over the world, and Cleopatra's was the classiest with the best shows I have ever seen.
(Not the last time I was there however)

If you are thinking of a tranny club with red carpets, valet parking and tuxedos, it won't happen.
The closest I have seen is tranny nights at the El Conventro Rico in Toronto.

Think realistic and you might be able to open something or have some parties.

I have worked in Hospitality consulting and people have given me lots of money for this type of advice.

                  Crag,

I am an erotic-masseuse amongst other things. I was negotiating for a strip-club to have tgirls from Montreal strip dance as a working place for many tgirls to have a place to work after their sex change primarily. And now, the idea evolved toward providing perhaps a venue for all tgirls to work in a burlesque type of venue under a tight management and disciplined organization that would offer classy show representations to the public at large, like in Thailand, and like in Europe.

In Paris, during late 50s and early 60s, Onassis would cover the expenses of transitions to one tgirl per year that would be working at Le Carrousel in Paris. These girls like Jacqueline-Charlotte Dufresnoy aka Coccinelle , Marie-Pier Ysser aka Bambi and April Ashley and many others were operated by Dr. George Burou which yielded to what is known today as the Harry Benjamin's Standards of care for all transsexuals. And this was due to the popularity of wealthy men circulating through the classy burlesque venue of Le Carrousel in Paris.

I think that if Europeans achieved that much acceptance for us since the 50s, that North Americans should have enough common sense and acceptance to be able to harbor such a venue on its territory and sponsor tgirls in that fashion for those tgirls that will have the class and personality to handle such position as courtisanes.

That's what I am referring to. Perhaps, you are right and I have no clue of what I am talking about. May be you could advise me better and help me understand and see your point. You have been involved with this community longer than I have and probably know more than I do about transsexuality and transsexuals, so I would tak your advice if you wish to help me realize this goal that I have to help us tgirls get a venue for us to work. All ideas are welcome here. It is more a community project than mine anyway. I am just trying to help. I may be completely and totally out of it.

I am sorry if I have offended you in any ways. I had no intentions of doing so. I was simply confused why you thought I was talking about a place that involved everything that is about what I do, when I am only trying to create a place for everyone else. A place that would offer good entertainment as well as a great place for men to meet the girls and may be take a liking to one girl to the point of sponsoring her all the way. But, its true also that things have changed and evolved with regards to how people look at us.

Back in the 50s and 60s, I think that people looked at us more as female trapped in a male body and wanted to release her. Whereas today, people look at us more like effeminate gay men with long hair, pretty faces and with breasts than female. In that sense, you are probably right that it wouldn't work. May be porn and sex-work has demystified us as women and rather rendered us beings of the best of both worlds. But, then what do I know.

I am sorry. May be I shouldn't try anything and just mind my own things: finish my transition and move on. That way, I wouldn't offend anyone and would just be better for me.

Anyway, I tried. Thanks for opening my eyes. I think that you're right.

I am not upset, just perplexed why you brush off all my suggestions so quickly. I was just making my case on the points I made and saying there is people in Canada that want to help.

Many people tell me I should have been a lawyer the way I make my cases sometimes.

Anyway just trying to point out that shooting for the Cadillac right away never works. You have to start with a Chevy and work up to a cadillac.
