Info on Club120 formerly Goodhandy's

Is club120, the former Goodhandy's still a place that the girls like to go to on Thursday nights or have things changed since my last visit 2 years ago? I'll be staying within walking distance so I was wondering if it would be worth stopping in while I'm in town in June. Thanks for any info you have.

When I first went to Club 120 (Goodhandys) it was a very busy place on Thursdays. They had constant stage performances and not necessarily just girls dancing. Also I recall the co owner liked going around the place with a mic in hand announcing performers. The decor was also not so confined as there were couches and tables and chairs on the main level. It appeared like it had that lounge feeling but the atmosphere was definitely not like a lounge. The dance floor was also pretty big. The upper level had a small bar but the second floor was mainly used for cam shows and "private" entertainment so to speak.

Girls who often frequented the place just stopped going for whatever reasons. I've heard many things from banishment to boredom to seeking other venues and so on and so on but with the girls who stopped going other girls would start to visit. Then again with any bar its always like that. Eventually when particular patrons have gone to a bar/club long enough and stop going a brand new batch will start visiting.

Over the years though there have been some considerable changes . The dance floor for a brief period had a mini bar situated on it which has now been removed and the dance floor itself is almost non existent. When you walk into the club you see a barricade that occupies a portion of the dance floor. On the main level where the bar is there are no more tables and chairs. Theyve been replaced by illuminated benches. Its doesnt feel as spacious as it once was.

The upper level has also had some refining. The dj booth is upstairs and the stage performances are also on the upper level as well. The bar on the second level is also more used than in previous years. The "entertainment" booths are still on the upper level but are now situated right beside a bar in a place with heavy traffic of customers.

The feel is also different I find. Kind of like instead of asking "Whats happening now?" you feel yourself asking " Is something going to happen?"

Ah well. Then again, I havent been in about nearly a year so as this is read perhaps its changed again.

Thanks Candy for the link to the other thread. I did a search too! I don't know how I missed that one. It sounds like Club120/Goodhandy's is still pretty much the same as it was when I visited 2 summers ago. Yes it was dark inside and it doesn't get busy until after 11pm but it's still was a good place to go on a Thursday night. I'll be staying nearby and within a short walking distance so I'm sure I'll make my way there for a couple of drinks.

IMHO agree with you, I already wrote what i don't like in GH in other threads. if GH rent club 120 i hope they will change place or club 120 should change design. I visit GH sometimes only to meet with my friends. I like people there and last time i went was very busy.

Seems like TS bars are dying out. Citibar closed its doors for good last weekend. I looked quickly into the possibility of opening my own place, but the stress involved with running a club is just not for me.

I wish the owners of 120 luck because it way things are going there will soon be nowhere left.

I have never been a fan of t-girls clubs and there are several reasons. One of the things I really hate about such clubs is solicitation. There is a presumption that because you are an escort that you are there for business. It might well be the scene there, but it is definitely not my scene. I found straight clubs to be more than satisfactory for my purposes.

Having said that, I still think that in big cities, there might be a demand for one to two (maximum) t-girls clubs. But as usual once someone start up something new, others will follow and ruin the whole business idea.

You just fell onto the reason why I never went back to Goodhandy's. I was working in Mississauga and had a very busy day. I decided to go into Toronto and have a drink. After paying for my drink I hung around by the bar. BIG MISTAKE! I was quickly told by Mandy, that escorts were not allowed to drink at the bar (except I was a client and not working). I HAVE NEVER BOUGHT A DRINK IN ANY OTHER CLUB AND BEEN TOLD WHERE I CAN AND CAN'T DRINK. After a brief discussion (argument), I decided that it was not worth the stress and I would take my business elsewhere....FOREVER! I never spent another cent in there and never went back. Judging from how people have been talking about the place, seems like I was not the only one. When I spend my money, I do not expect to be treated like I'm doing something wrong.

A Nightclub show be a fun atmosphere....not Nazi's running a Gestapo.

In my opinion, the problem with GH stems from the fact that all of the T-Girls are working girls and many of them treat the male customers like shit or like an ATM machine. Eventually, the male customers get turned off and refuse to return to the club. The best parties have always been the Underwear party and the I Love Sex party because the focus isn't entirely on the T-Girls. GH should be encouraging a non-solicitation scene !

I went in there about 2 months ago and it was dead. Can't remember which night of the week though. The last few times I went there it was pretty quiet and that is why I never really go anymore. Actually I don't even know where TS girls hangout anymore. PLAY and GH used to be awesome. I used to pick up there all the time. Oh well, times change I suppose.

That being said, I wish for 120 to become busy again. The idea of a TG bar is pretty cool in my opinion. I really miss Georges Play though. Church on Church is lame and ridiculously over priced drinks.

i think we would all like a cool busy place to hang out. I think people just get sick of the drama, or the random pepper spray fight.

there are rumors about new club. (am not sure if i can say about it or not) owner of that well known club is thinking to hire tgirls and already send invitations. Will see.
meanwhile i think should take some dance or bartender classes haha.
