I’m considering going through drug detox and I’m trying to understand what the process is actually like from real people who’ve been through it. I’ve been reading a lot online, but most of the information feels either too general or too promotional.

If you’ve had experience with detox programs, what were the biggest challenges during the first days? How did you choose a place to start the process? And is there anything you wish you had known beforehand?
