Triclabendazole 250 is an antiparasitic medicine primarily used for the treatment of fascioliasis, a liver fluke infection caused by Fasciola hepatica and Fasciola gigantica. It belongs to the benzimidazole class of medicines and is considered the preferred treatment because it is effective against both immature and adult liver flukes. The medicine is usually taken with food, and the dosage depends on the patient's body weight and the healthcare provider's recommendation. Like any prescription medicine, it should only be used after a confirmed diagnosis and under medical supervision. Common side effects may include abdominal pain, nausea, headache, dizziness, and temporary tiredness, but these are generally mild and improve after treatment.
