Was she shot because she was trans? Was she shot because of gang violence? Was it both or neither? I mean with all the gangs in NOLA it is hard to tell. But I will say this that most people are pretty accepting down here. The wannabe gangstas though? Give me the Mafia any day over black and Hispanic gangs. At least the Italians hit who they targeted and the black and Hispanic gangs will take out a whole street corner.

It sux but it is a fact of life in NOLA. And since the FBI and law enforcement was not so scared of the La Cosa Nostra as they are Hispanic and Black gangs, then they got hit hard. I have seen drive bys and sometimes children are killed. The Mafia would never let that happen. The Mafia would also protect us too in the neighborhood.
