I think it happens on both sides. I’ve had several situations over the years where I drove an hour to Toronto, only to have the provider not answer or reply to my messages. I understand that it sucks. People wasting other people’s time is really a crappy thing to do from both sides of the spectrum.

The biggest problem, to me, is really the no-shows. Booking an appointment, then ghosting the provider when the time comes. WTF? Why? What is the point of that? What sick pleasure do people take in knowing that they have wasted someone's time, in knowing that they are sitting there, dolled up, probably half-naked, waiting for someone who isn't even on the way?

I get that sometimes you legitimately just cannot make it. I really do. Wife comes home from work 4 hours early... boss dumps a ton of work on you and says you can't leave until it's done... brother shows up up out of the blue with a six-pack and a sob story... truck jack-knifed on the QEW on the way.... I get it, life happens, it sucks. How much effort does it take, however, to just pull out your phone and send a quick text to say "sorry, can't make it". I understand that when things get in the way, the tranny whore you've left hanging isn't exactly your top priority, but FFS she deserves at least the courtesy of knowing that she needn't bother waiting any further, and the courtesy of a reply when she texts to find out if you're on the way or not.

And yes, I just had another no-show and need to vent about it.

Well said. Terrible that you had a no-show. Being in business, I understand the frustration when a client cancels a job. Over the years I have realized that the more you get rejected, ultimately the more successful and adept you become, if you so choose. Rejection is a fuel to me at this point.
