But do not get me wrong...

Actually, i do not mind posing sexy but i am not ready for doing frontal nude unless with few conditions. One of the conditions is:
The image of the magazine is good and upscale, so it will give me an excellent exposure and better image.
(Let say for instance, a model who is offered to pose for Italian Vogue or Sport Illustrated. Money wise they get very little. But the exposure and the image will be excellent).

    Let's forget about photoshoot.

We have better thing to do here:
    1. Minimize discrimination in tgirl community
    2. Creating a healthy, non judmental situation where everybody is free to express his/her opinion without being curse or bullied.
    3. Promote this forums to larger market, so more and more people will realize that we exist.

So Admin...don't you think this is the time we work together hand in hand in order to create better finance for both of us and to create better image for tgirls in the future...?

    I have tons of ideas..

I'm waiting for you till u r ready

I've done much mass promotion in the past and have contacts to many mediums like television, radio, newsprint etc....but mass marketing can be very time consuming.

Hell, I did a 30 minute short film for TVOntario 10 years back on alzheimer's and the effect on family which was aired on TVO late night. Creating the film let alone promoting took a good year or so.

Then there was the brief 4 years I had with my own radio program let alone subbing in occasionally on CBC radio 1 as a tech/announcer among other things.

Marketing / PR was my original avenue of study before I took on something else.

Recently though I've been disheartened, I've expressed my interest to get back into the game but when people shoot your ideas down without even giving it a second thought interest seems to be lost.

So as it is, whatever, I'll help anyone that asks for it if I can let alone have the time.

I'm going to start a series of life size paintings depicting individual members of the tgirl community. Both clothed, and unclothed.

That should shake things up a bit.

Someone has already done a series of sketch portraitures of a few select ladies already.

Well you know it's all in the level of skill and presentation .

What one man calls a sketch may only be another mans doodle.

            Miscellania

            A few random thoughts:

            Future Activism
I appreciate the votes of confidence, but there's so much work that needs to be done. I am only one person, with only one voice - granted, it's a loud and occasionally obnoxious voice, but there are so many issues to be addressed. It's a stretch to suggest that we even have a "community" per se; there's far too much infighting and conflict to have any homogeneous activism centered around common concerns. We can't even agree on whether to support or ignore TG street workers, or whether implants or hormones legitimize a TG identity. I've only been on the scene for a short time (I started my full-time transition on Labour Day of last year) and I've seen the best and the worst our "community" has to offer - believe me, we've got a long way to go. We need to work together as a cohesive unit to increase the size of the pie - right now, we're just fighting over the crumbs.

            Discrimination
Yes, it is rampant in our society, and everyone is guilty of it from time to time. No minority has ever been freed from oppression without significant support from the dominant majority, and that's the missing link in our quest towards recognition and acceptance. Sadly, the people who might help the most are the same people who are most reluctant to do so: the trans-sensual men and women who truly love and accept us for who we are.

Yes, there's a great deal of stigma attached to trans relationships. Yes, a man or woman who reveals their love for transsexuals is often subjected to ridicule, and has his or her sexuality called into question. Yes, many men view transsexuals as nothing more than sex objects, exisiting solely for their pleasure - indeed, this is how many men view women in general. But without people willing to take this next step, how will society ever accept us?

Transsexuals in major cities are usually tolerated, to varying degrees. But acceptance, from those who truly love us for who we are? We're a long way away from there. I am incredibly lucky to have a partner that loves me as I am, but our relationship is very much the exception, rather than the rule. I'm not trying to tell people to come out and broadcast their appreciation for transsexuals - everyone has a right to keep their private life private. But think how much we would benefit if our admirers were to tell their families/friends/coworkers that they were involved with or in love with a TG/TS? Would that not be a stronger vote of acceptance than any piece of legislation could provide?

edit: I know this isn't easy to do, so I'm going to write my next article on how to "come out" as trans-sensual - please PM me your thoughts and ideas.

            Obama et al.
People can talk about tolerance and acceptance until they're blue in the face, but actually showing acceptance through your actions holds a lot more meaning. Obama is an incredible speaker, and he certainly "talks the talk," but only through his actions over the next four years will we see if he can "walk the walk." It's all fine and dandy to talk about your love for tgirls on an anonymous internet forum, but walking that walk in real life is the only thing that will have real results. The true measure of a person is not what they say, but what they do - and that's something Obama will soon find out.

                    Hail Obama

BaraK Obama - blessed village; swahili

lets all strive for this dream world wide
                    let us be one
                    interwoven like threads,
strong as the fine silk the spider looms its home
                    free like the wind
dreams so vivid they are real

Too bad, it is not like that in reality.

Same sex marriage will be banned in California soon.

One of US men's magazines will do a photoshoot in Toronto this Sunday morning. They still need one female model urgently.

They did some search and found me (again) on facebook. I was offered to be posed in auditorial pages , but it was directly cancelled (via e-mail) by the time they know i am not a real woman.

This is really frustrating since i was already looking forward to doing that

But at least, the photographer was honest enough, explaining the situation. So even though i was dissapointed, i do not take it personally.

So, if there is any genetic female model in this forums. You may send your portfolio by e-mail ASAP to [email protected] (he is the one who is in charge of seaching the models, his name is Markus).

But i still can't understand why there are so many discrimination in this what so called "modern, civilized world"...

When do you think a tgirl can pose for Playboy or other men's magazine...?
Or when do you think a transgender can lead the country..??

                    Definitely not know!!!

                    Too bad really...

I can't quantify it or even attach any specfic information to confirm that belief, it is just a feeling or a sense that I have.

So I'd say that yes, there has already been progress, perhaps not a great amount, but as in the past conceptual change in the publics attitude to anything different, has generally been a slow and continuously evolving process.

I'd like to point out that in my brief time here, I feel that Tasha Jones and Amanda Taylor have been at or near the front locally (though Tasha has withdrawn from the spotlight of late).

Amanda's effort in promoting the scene through the Lounge and Goodhandy's could never have been such a success, even a decade ago. Of course I'm basing my comments about the success of these, on other's comments, having never been to either venue in person!

Neither should we forget Victoria's efforts in aiding the local TS community by getting this Forum (tgirlforums.com) off the ground. Without her efforts we would not have this great place today, in which we gather to help each other.

So yes, IMHO things have happened already, and changes will continue in the public's conception I am certain.

I concur too on your placement of Nikki at the forefront of public education in the future!
hi, the most significant growth is usually the smallest, as with penny's they add up. there yu go, cheers the old fart curious lol
