Let's look at it from another perspective.

As you suggest, these girls definitely demand our respect, but I can not understand why you feel that whatever we might call ourselves, that that name negates the respect we have for the girls we may see!

In speaking of this pastime as a hobby, I do not see how the term “hobby” degrades or belittles in any way, the girls that we may choose to consort with, during our pursuit of these pleasurable experiences. When I use the term “hobbyist” to describe myself, (and I have done so on many occasions,) I use the term hobbyist to describe MYSELF, not the girl I may have chosen to spend time with.

For many years I was a builder of scale models and considered myself as a hobbyist in that field. I can't see how that changed anyones perception of the model building community I took part in. I was a contributing member of that community!

Fellows who tend to spend time with GG girls for cash are sometimes referred to as "pooners" but also as "hobbyists", among other names. I see hobbyist as a much less negative term than pooner.

So what would you suggest as an alternative name for fellows like us who do exactly the same thing as pooners do with genetic girls, but do it instead with TG girls?

At times that statement is worded a little differently but the meaning still comes across.

Now it is true that a hobby involves doing something in your spare time that's fun but am I wrong in saying that BASICALLY having and doing a hobby usually deals with being creative, collecting things and learning new skills? To add to that don't hobbies usually deal with inanimate objects that are not alive? That's how I've always thought of it.

Of course there are exceptions like being a dog breeder or fishing as those involve living things but for f*** sake how do you possibly classify t women let alone a human being as a hobby?

Personally, to state that in seeing a person as a hobby is dehumanizing. It's as if to say that that individual is void of thought or emotion. An object that is yours to do with as you please.

Let's turn it around. What if someone listed you as "just something I involve myself with every now and then when I think the time is good." How the hell would you take it and how would you feel? I'm guessing pretty damn low.

Now of course whatever people do when they meet is their own business but at least have the class to acknowledge the person you are with is 'there" if you get my meaning. Yeah I know, such bold words considering all factors involved and where this is being written but am I the only one that thinks this way?

co sign with rants on this one

i think i covered this a bit in the 'phases' threads. there are those who will see tgirls as only sex objects because that is all they want them to be. if they went to a GG escort it would be the same. slam bam thank you mam. nothing wrong with that if that is what both parties want. for me personally i believe that i have to at least like someone before i want to have sex with them, i also find that it is more erotic to make love to a person rather than a hobby or a rental. just my take on things. those of us who are more sensitive to seeing tgirls as people will always be offended by those that dont. just the way we all feel. i have found the girls i have met to be incredible people and well deserving of my respect and admiration.

How can you possibly compare building scale models or joining a choir or collecting stamps to spending time and sharing thoughts, senses and beliefs with ANYONE. As I said previously to make such a statement seems to void the person you see of any thought, emotion, personality etc

When people meet it involves a connection physically and mentally and has many dimensions. The hobby has some similar attributes but its limited pending on what you do of course.

Myself I said I would never classify or stereotype myself, any one person or any group of people. Seems so silly to summarize a persons/groups essence by a single word.

The guys who use the term 'hobby' in relation to visiting prostitutes [oops sorry I mean escorts ] are making reference to all of the time spent researching, analyzing the scraps of usually exaggerated information and often deceptive photographs to choose someone to pay $4 or $5 a minute in order to scratch the sublime itch that is mans desire for the 'tranny'
It refers to the time spent on boards such as this attempting to understand these creatures who tantalize us like no GG will ever do again. It's about the kerfuffle that is involved in meeting the girls, slipping away from work for an hour or so ,cleaning your butt, getting the answering machine 3 times and waiting for another '10 minutes ' etc.
Yes it is about the sex too and for the average punter it will be a non- emotional encounter. I would think that most of the girls are happy to have a number of these type of clients as it is less draining than encounters with
guys who want to be their Prince Charming . The actual 'sex' part is a relatively small part of 'the Hobby'.
Personally I do not use the term to describe my interest and involvement with the girls. I have eliminated from my life those things that prevent me from pursuing my desires openly and honestly, consequently TGirls are just a part of my life, like work, football and raising my son.

I certainly don't think of this as a hobby. More of a calling. But I don't think referring to it as a hobby need necessarily be dehumanizing. Belonging to a book club is a hobby. You read the book and then explore it further with the people in the group. The girls aren't the book. The book is whatever is in your head which you then want to explore further.
It is all semantics, but the real issue is respect. I like to make a friend when I go to any service provider, be it for sex or podiatry. Everyone is entitled to basic civility and respect until they themselves negate it.
I'm not looking for love, I'm looking for sex. That could be just as dehumanizing for me as for the person I'm interacting with if I chose to look at it that way. Thankfully for me, I don't. I like to look at it as two people hopefully getting what they need and want out of an hour or so and becoming friends in some degree in the process.

If there is ever a thread and your comment is in it, its about the only one I read. I really like the way you phrased it, last nail in the coffin on this one.

I believe this issue is really of no consequence.

I have expressed my views on this, because I strongly believe that whatever I may call myself has no bearing whatsoever on my perception of the girls I know. As I mentioned in my earlier post, I can not understand how in the world, a term that I use to describe myself and my activities, can possibly reflect negatively on those girls I might meet personally.

If I were to call myself a "bargain hunter" will that terminology reflect negatively on the Walmart, Field or Hart Department Stores where I may shop trying to save a few cents? I think not!

While taking a look at my trusty Thesaurus I found a lot more synonyms for hobby than I anticipated. Here are a few of the terms I found that are either synonymous with, or related to, the word hobby!

pastime, pursuit, chase, hunt, search, quest, craze,

trend, sideline, fad, amusement, distraction, diversion, digression, departure,

relaxation, leisure, recreation, entertainment, activity, rest, respite,

                non-essential, unimportant, secondary.

There, now it is time to call it a day!

                OK Toban .........

eyy..eyy..eyy Rantsalot and SL20, there's no need to lose the friendships over this thread. When I co-sign to Prettyboy's post about what he thinks is the reason why other TG admirers use the term 'hobby' to describe their leisure time with their chosen escort and I didn't find a big disrespect to t-girls on that post, he's just saying that his adventure with special girls is somewhat a form of entertainment for him, thus the reason he's willing to spare some donations.

But for some it was construed as an insult and disrespect, and I made it worse by implying that even calling the escort's as his hobby, his bitch, his whore and whatever he fancy is okay, as long as there is a donated money is a big, big aberration and fallacy on my part, and for that I apologize.

Because respect is something I wouldn't exchange for the world, it's a virtue that one human being can extend to another.

Unfortunately, in the escorting trade, you will meet a lot of men who demeans their hired selected girl, coz, it's a fetish (thus the services 'Golden Shower' and 'bdsm') and because of the revenue some escorts would allow it, although I know that the majority of girls who has a high self esteem and self respect wont, 'coz, I definitely wont.

And I also believe and from personal experience that a majority of men who are patronizing t-girls are highly respected people and a decent human being and I can name a number of them who are in this forum and also some who are not in this forum and people I met from different clubs. And for the names of highly respectable members here on this T-girls forum, if you wanna know PM me. but my special acknowledgement and apology as well is for the author of this thread Rantsalot a dear friend, a decent human being whose friendship and honor of just knowing this guy personally, has been one of the highlight of my introduction in this community. ( Oh! I'm so getting an expensive dinner treat for this lol!)

So, not retracting from my previous support of the word 'hobby' I just wish that all men would treat any human being, on whatever career or field they are into, the respect we/they deserve and accorded them the way they want to be treated themselves.

And for the pigs, you know who you are, and girls here knows who you are and how you treated us in the past, we're on you! so you better behave next time you dial that phone.

In closing, Advance Happy Valentines to all!!!

Not wishing to seem pedantic but Toban and Jellani both misread my previous statement.
I was saying that though I did not use the term 'Hobby' myself I could well understand why many of those who indulge in the pleasures of the TGirl do, and that it seems to me to be an accurate and acceptable use of the term.
Though I have been 'straight' for most of my life I no longer desire a woman unless she has a cock, 'hairy fish-paste' has lost it's attraction to me. Consequently TGirls have become a part of my life, not an occasional diversion [as in a hobby.]
I trust that the term PIG was not aimed at me as I have always treated TGirls with the utmost respect and admiration no matter what stage of transition they were at.

Prettyboy you will never ever be a pig in my eye. You're our pooh bear lol! don't worry, I re-phrased some words on that post. I know from what I wrote there it appears that you're the one who use the word hobby when clearly you did not and never did in the past. forgive me my pooh bear english isn't my first language.

So there! for all to know, Prettyboy is one of the respectable t-girl admirers in this forum that I ever met in person, not as a client & escort meeting btw. our's is purely platonic lol! we didn't even hit 1st base hahahahaha. I'm not his type ( I'm too white, that's why).

hi all. i think we are all on the same page here. in essence we all respect our tgirl friends equally. as i have said before some on this site will only see tgirls as sex objects, nothing will change their minds, we can try though. for some here we know the girls are amazing in every aspect and so well deserving of our friendship, respect and caring.

thanks jen for wishing us all happy valentines.
