train! hmm I'm going to seek how much it would cost for Amtrak to Toronto if they go that far. I look into greyhound cheap, but 2 days and a risk of a machette attack or the bus careening off the road into a 200 foot ravine....

still planning...aiming for august hopefully...maybe late july.

trains take too long and cost too much (something like 3 days and $1000)

maybe check out prices flying out of US.

might be cheaper to take a bus to someplace in the US and fly from there. folks sometimes take the bus to buffalo and fly south from there. it is way cheaper but does take a bit more time etc. i dont do it. i hate wasting time.
      according to some, not trangendered

I'm just checking out options, more then likely fly from vancouver. To go to Seattle and fly out would be more a) bus to seattle b) still have to get a passport c) seeing I got kicked out of the US back in 2006/2007 it might be tricky through customs. I should be able to fly out of Vancouver with out passport just photo id and birthcert. Montreal would be cool, but this is just a quick getaway on a limited budget to regain some sanity.

Now I gotta figure out if I actually need a passport to fly within Canada...grr..

        The chaos ensues..

You only need one piece of government issued photo ID to fly within Canada.
          Drivers License, Health Card, etc.
Just has to have a photo and be issued by a Federal or Provincial agency.

              still planning..

So there have been some recent developments that might change my plans. I'm still wanting to visit TO around the end of august. However that depends on when the date is of my surgery assessment is (which takes priority over the trip).

So to those that are following this I'll keep ya informed.

                    sigh!

My trip to TO is officially canceled. I'm getting laid off from my job cause the owner is a jerk. I have to focus on the 30th and finding a new job. I'll get over there eventually just not this year. Unless I win the lottery, anyone got the heads up on the winning numbers?

Sorry, if I had the winning numbers, I'd be cashing in right now. Sorry to hear about your job situation. Seems like a lot of that going around. I hope you find something soon and visit TO one of these days. Best of luck to you.

Points to see in TO also should include spending a day on the Toronto Islands, have a walk through the Danforth, avoid like the plague the club district on the weekends, a walk on Queen Wesst on a Sat afternoon as well.

And if you need a place to stay, I have a queen size bed? (Smile)
