Is this story true? I'll explain later.
This goes out to everyone and it's to show that you are not alone in the ways you think. It's a story that is TOTALLY not like something Rantsalot would post. You know what? Good. I've been told I'm a little conservative at times and PC among other things. Perhaps its time I reconsider how and what I post in the near future, especially here.
So a friend of mine Pete tells me he was on the TTC subway heading to Ossington then suddenly *snapping fingers* there was a city wide power outage. From what he told me the train started to weave back and forth crazily and it was pitch dark in the subway car he was in. He said that at one point the train felt like it was tilting off the track. I think Pete assumed that because from what he told me in a situation like that the driver has to use a manual override to take control of the train but because of what happened my friend guesses the driver coudn't see the course ahead of him and misjudged where he had to manually brake causing that whole train to shake like it did.
Anyways . Pete decides it's all over and he whips it out. What do I mean whips it out? I asked the same question. "Pete, dude what do you mean you whipped it out?" Yes everyone, it IS what you're thinking. He whipped it out and said he started beating it right there. Imagine all this happening while he's in the dark and the subways car is bouncing around.
Well , after a few seconds another passenger who hears what he's doing takes a cue from him. I asked Pete " How do you know someone else was doing the same thing you were?" and he said " Man, I could hear it." To continue Pete said some other guy decides to whip it out and start beating like mad and then shortly after that a woman until eventually almost everyone starts beating and playing. I guess if you are plummeting to certain doom what a better way to go. Myself I'd be more like "How the hell am I going to survive!!
" So Pete goes on about this and says that eventually the train was slowing down and such and he says all this without a smirk , quite the opposite, it was almost like an embarrassed look.
Ahh now here's the end of the story which makes it even more strange. Pete says after a minute or so suddenly *snapping fingers again* the power came back. The lights are on, the train starts to move again at its normal speed and rights itself and everyone is looking around and screaming at what others were doing and VERY quickly put their pieces or whatever away and deboard when finally reaching the stop. Nobody looks at anyone or says anything to anyone about this phenomena while leaving the station.
