Movie: Robocop A dark comedy and excessively violent film. It takes place in the near future and the city of Detroit is a mega crime zone. A policeman killed in the line of duty is resurrected into the part man part machine Robocop. Invulnerable he rids the city of all crime yet but still has conflicts with his human self when remembering his past.....and I love it.

When it comes to the 80's there is very little I like from THAT decade.

CD : The Police -Synchronicity Some call them the founding fathers of the new wave scene. I'm not so sure if that would be accurate but thier sound did influence many others too follow suit like Tears for Fears and Simple Minds. This CD is tasteful pop with exceptional writing and has arguably one of the best singles ever released of the past century in "Every Breath You Take"


maddplotter!!! I know its early yet but if the HABS keep playing the way they do not only will they win the series but could go very very far. Theyre doing everything right and not letting up and mand I'll see if I can find a picture of Aaliyah for you. Miss April will be announced next week. Who is it? You'll just have too wait.

So I filed my taxes and got a return for a change. normally I pay like a couple of bucks. Nothing big but it felt good to get something back this time. With a few days off I watched a few movies too. One I've already mentioned my distaste for in another thread and another that was genius. it's called "The Invention of Lying". Don't want to go on about it but it's a warped comedy to say the least.

For the first time in years I did some off road cycling. With the warm weather and a conservation area near me I had this urge to just dust off my bike and ride along the dust trail as also did some roller blading which was a mistake. Oooooh the ankles paid a price. Hah! Thats something I never see in TO. and thats people biking and roller blading. Maybe it's out of style or maybe the city is too congested for people to do that sort of thing. Who knows. Who cares. Perhaps just to be a nuisance the next time I got to TO I'll roller blad up and down Dundas Street....you know....right in the middle during heavy traffic.....LMAO! Hey if i can get away with driving down one way streets in TO in the opposite direction then this would be a cinch to turn peoples heads and go WTF

Due to some very bad planning there was almost no Miss April this month. Oh man. I was talking to a few girls about being Miss April and then realized . "Damn I cant do that because I said this to that person and that to this person and blah blah blah." In turn I just decided too make Miss April someone that I know absolutely nothing about and haven't corresponded with to be safe and with that to also be able to obligate those who I had spoken with to perhaps represent them as "women of the week/month" in the future.

Ok. So what about Amity. I saw her at Goodhandy's once nearly a year ago. No denying she looks good and doesn't mind flaunting it. Thats not a bad thing just so long as its done tastefully. Yes yes, many know how I like to "keep it clean" with this calendar. Other than that she has an undeniably dynamite smile. Some would say:

"Holy Mother of Pearl she has an undeniably dynamite smile."

Actually I don't think anyone would say that except maybe me.

Hmmmm, now that I think about it there are 2 small details I do know of relating to Amity and that is she loves to travel but that is more of a given and would have people say " Well DUH! Yeah! Who doesn't like to travel?" The other point I know of is she resides for the most part in Toronto. That's all I got to give ya but hey, April for the most part turned out well don't you think?

The 3rd T Woman of the Week!

Winnipeg's very own Ashley. The one photo of her in the white t shirt, the hand on the hip and that smirk just seems to show that shes in charge but in contrast to that the 2nd photo of her in the black outfit with the sullen expression gives a wonderful portrayal of a mild and kindly nature of character. That's what I see and that is what she is. A very cute person but ever so confident. Ashley and I have talked and she has said a little about her home town. Whats awesome is that she likes to converse. She likes to keep in touch and shows an eagerness and excitement in chatting with whoever it is. Add to this that she has no interest in melodrama which is a big plus. Kinda like that "whatever will be" outlook.

DVD : The Notebook This romantic film takes place mostly in the 1940's and it carries with it an undeniable believability. Young lovers struggle against society's expectations of them and in comparison to what we may see in real life this gives an honest interpretation of what being in a relationship is about.

A nice start to May.

Wow. For those who don't know Sunshine has posted up some new pictures and each one of them is top notch. Incredibly stunning shots and were instant favorites. Nikki's shot. That look is classic, resembling that of
soaking in the moment. The contrast of colours is just right as to not look too overly bright. Mariana's photo well, ok, I got to be honest. Overall I love the body shot. Nice accentuation of the legs. Most of her photos focus on her legs and in regards to pin up it is vital that the pose /position is correct otherwise the idea of "following" from head to toe is lost. Remember Nazanin's photo? if not go to the very first page. The way she positioned herself made you have to scan from left to right. Mariana is ding the same thing but from bottom to top. You'll just have to go with me on this as other pics from other girls are like this but there are differences. far too many to get into and maybe someday I can provide a further explanation.

Movie - The Invention of Lying. The story involves how everyone in the world tells the truth openly and freely no matter if its a harsh or kind truth. Feelings are opnly expressed however for one man he begins to change many things when one day he gains the ability to lie.


I briefly mentioned this movie a few weeks ago. I loved it so much I bought it and will give a review of it in a few days. If there is one movie I would recommend to anyone to watch it is this one. Look t for it.



CD: Rage Against the Machine - Evil Empire. It was only a matter of time when "RATM" would be on the calendar. The bands contempt for the "fascist" capitalist system was at its peak with this release which took 4 years to make. There are no catchy tunes or melodic beats or even witty banter. Its a fusion of metal/hip hop with a constant pounding and hurtful noise that for some.....strange.....ridiculous....unfathomable reason WORKS. This isn't for everyone but if you are TRULY the curious type then listen or at least try and sit through a song or 2.



Happy Mother's Day all. All I have to say is treat your mother right as we all only have 1.

The Invention of Lying

This will not be a regular thing here. I'm only reviewing this as I truly feel this is worth watching.


First off, you must learn to accept the ridiculous. If you can't see yourself in the universe that Ricky Gervais has created, and compare it to the world we all live in then you will most likely not enjoy this film. Try to picture a world where everyone tells the truth about everything to everyone.

A woman walks up a street and finds a man has fallen on the ground.

" Wow. I am too weak to help you to your feet plus I feel lazy. I will see if I can get someone who is more able bodied.."

Thats an example.


Gervais plays an unsuccessful film maker. Down on his luck he has no clue on how to rebound back. Things look grim and he's questioning his existence until that is he somehow finds a way to lie. With his new found ability Gervais manages to become successful as also influence others to better themselves at first but soon sees that the more lying he does the harder and less amusing it is. Gervais also introduces a religious element which to some may seem controversial in saying "religion is a lie" but that is NOT the intention. Its all part of the bigger picture in how he must continue to lie to help those who demand more info from his wealth of information.

The romantic chapter in this story follows a traditional path where Garner who plays the love interest never quite understands what makes up a person inside but she plays her role with such naiveness you can't help but feel sorry given the circumstances.

You'll find yourself stating how much harder it is to tell the truth from what you may have thought originally and perhaps questioning your own morality.

Akira has a nice shot going with the 2 piece outfit. A nice snapshot with nothing going over the top. Bibiane has something going on there that i truly like. I can not recall the last time I saw a girl with a yellowish background but damn, does that make her stand out. Smart idea too wear black on yellow as the colors both compliment each other. Its not a pin up shot but rather I would argue it would fall under a "fashion" type due to the stylistic feel. Veronicas shot has a good little girl look. White backdrop is ok and the softening around her makes for a happy vibe.

Movie - Rain Man Charlie Abbot learns that he has a brother after his fathers passing. Upon visiting his brother he realizes of him being autistic as also he will inherit all his father bestowed to him. Charlie takes his brother on an "extended" vacation and over time learns about how to help his brother with his uniqueness but also how to help himself with his egotism.

Cd: Heart - Dreamvoat Annie. Aggressive yet melodic songs like "Sing Child," "White Lightning & Wine," and the staples "Magic Man" and "Crazy on You" led to the tag "the female Led Zeppelin." They broke out of the stereotype of female guitarists were just soft pop musicians and proved they can rock hard with the rest of them.

A must to own and I do mean A MUST for the true music collector, listener and connoisseur.


Hey all. Was in Montreal on Saturday for a gathering. Saw friends and the like. I dont know, Montreal, I've been there so many times that it just doesn't excite me anymore unlike Toronto where I've only been there a couple of times over the past few years.

I've been debating if I should keep the DVD/CD section on this calendar. On the one side I want to provide a little extra to everyone but on the other hand I'm not sure if its reaching out to everyone. When it comes to film and music I try and give selections/opinions from all eras but sometimes it seems the idea is out of place. For now it'll stay until further notice.
