Promentalshitbackwashpsychosis - Enema Squad (The Doo Doo Chasers) - Funkadelic
Beautiful song. I don't know why George Clinton decided to put the social demonstration rant all through it. That's just Funkadelic, i suppose.

The Promentalshitbackwashpsychosis - Enema Squad (The DooDoo Chasers)
{G Clinton, G Shider, L Brown}
The world is a toll-free toilet
Our mouths neurological assholes
And psychologically speaking
We're in a state of mental diarrhea
Talking shit a mile a minute
Or in a state of constipated notions
Can't think of nothin' but shit
And in this world of stinky futures, shitty memories and
Constipated 19 now-nows
Emerges from the hiney of your head
The doo doo chasers,
The Promentalshitbackwashpsychosisenemasquad
The prune juice of the mind
The doo doo chasers
Friends of roto-rooter
Bringing you music to get your shit together by
The band in the tidy bowl of your brain
(What was that long word again-Promental?)
Promentalshitbackwashpsychosis Enema Squad
A musical bowel movement
Designed to rid you of moral diarrhea
Social bullshit
Crazy do-loops
Mental poots
They call us the unflushables
One swipe a clean wipe
(Go flush it, fellas)
And what causes all of this shit?
What is the source of food for thought?
Ego-munchies
Images doggie bags
Me burger with I sauce on it
Me burger with I sauce on it
A myself sandwich
A personal burger
Hamburger
And a glass of constricted cola
Out to lunch with lunch meat
The fear of being eaten by the sandwich
The Promentalshitbackwashpsychosisenemasquad
The doo doo chasers
Friends of roto-rooter
Music to clean your shit by
Low calorie logic
Muscle brain
Skinny brain
Count the calories of your thoughts
Funk-Confucius says
Like Chinese laxatives
Sweet and sour bowel movements
And in this world of stinky memories
Shitty futures
19 now nows-constipated-like
Merges(?) the doo do chasers
The prune juice of the mind
The band in the tidy bowl of your brain
Bringing you music to get your shit together by
Funk, the P-Preparation
The prune juice of the mind
The mental, musical bowel movement
Groovalax
One swipe a clean wipe
And with no extra charge
A psychological turd removal
A neurological enema
Holy Shit
(let me try one-crap)
Corpolite
Helping you get your shit together
Backstage at a Funkadelic rehearsal
We bring you the doo doo chasers
(Which one is George Clinton?)
Out to lunch with lunch meat, once again
The fear of being eaten by a sandwich
Lunchville
Where lunch is a nice time of day
At least twice a week
And fried Ice Cream is a reality

What has Babe been listening to?
Originally posted by Babe View PostHi all,
I've been posting some of the music i've been listening to for years in another thread called "What are you listening to?"
Now, although that is a really cool thread, i just think i am posting a little bit too much in it and i might be cluttering it up with too much of...you know..."me".
So, i've decided to create my OWN thread where i can post some of MY favorite music.
It will also serve as a place where i can come to hear an old or a new favorite song of mine while, at the same time, letting you all know (if anyone cares) what goes on in my head - musically, that is.
I'm sure people will see and hear a wide variety of styles in my selections.
As a musical multi instrumentalist, i do have a very wide range of musical interests and influences.
I am mostly geared towards actual music with real musicians, and by saying that, i am saying, i was never very fond of rap or hip hop music. I do enjoy techno music but only when i do dance-cardio because the non-stop beat makes it easy to keep a steady pace while moving around.
I didn't like the 80's bands "too much" but i do like a few of them, although my tastes are limited to only one or two albums by each band, like The Cars, Blondie, The Psychedelic Furs, Loverboy, and a few others.
When i was younger, i was always in the company of people six years older than me, so lots of their musical choice rubbed off on me.
Give me old jazz standards almost any day. Motown, early funk, soul, or 60's and 70's rock, like, early Genesis and later Genesis, Some Yes and some solo Rick Wakeman, some ELP, some ELO, early Kiss (pre Rock and Roll Over), all stages of Deep Purple, Grand Funk Railroad, early Jethro Tull, early Alice Cooper (pre Goes to Hell era), early Black Sabbath and only some solo Ozzy.
As i never really liked early Van Halen, i tend to not like too much metal madness unless it's really done well. What i mean is that too many guitarist are simply playing tapping and sweeping guitar solos as decoration, which does not really "say" anything to me.
Guitarists like Steve Vai and all those "guitar gymnasts" like Satriani and friends are really awesome players but after one or two pieces, they've pretty much emptied their whole bag of tricks on you way too fast way too soon leaving most everything else they do as a rehashing of the same stuff but in different musical keys. You know, like its "too much of a good thing"....
I like classic, modern and rock operas and musical stage productions, as well.
I enjoy symphony orchestral works and violin concertos. The violin was the FIRST "heavy metal guitar", in my opinion, and they don't need distortion and sustain pedals.
Over the years, i've tried to teach myself how to play the violin. I do okay (not really) but the vibrato is really hard to master and it's crucial to make the violin sound great. So, i struggle with my violin as i can't master the frikken vibrato.
I am a multi instrumentalist, by the way, but my main thing is electric guitar.
I was once planning to form a Stevie Ray Vaughan tribute band. I was the sole guitarist and singer. So, you can get an idea how well i can sling a guitar. I was playing solos behind my back and my head and even playing with my teeth, a little.
Yep, could have been "like" a rock star, but i lacked the self confidence even though i had what it took playing-wise. My head just wasn't in the right place at the time. I was very troubled and always and suffered from a major case of crippling self-consciousness as i came from a background that wasn't very supportive, and even my friends from my past were all, pretty much, a bunch of drunks and drug addicts, and some others were very flamboyantly talented and very arrogant about their abilities which just made me withdraw.
I quit the music scene because i couldn't deal with the uncertainty and big egos of musicians. Maybe i just never met the right bunch of people, and when i did, i backed away because of my own lack of self confidence.
Nowadays, when i plug in my one of my 3 guitars, i just play along with the random tunes that are played on a few of the Galaxy Music channels on cable television.
That way, everyone's sober, tuned up, on time, in key, and waiting for me to plug in.
My favorite guitarist is Jeff Beck. His musical transformation to the instrumentalist he is today is something to behold.
When that man dies, the whole musical world will mourn.
I doubt many people in here have even heard of him.
He's been around since the early 60s.
He doesn't have "hits" per se, but his style is very distinguishable.
