We agree on something, this is great. From professional development comparatives to capitalism. I also welcome your thoughts on the tax perspective. It is difficult to put myself in your shoes, as it would be for you in mine. However, Lisa again makes a valid point about working hard for little money. Pushing cars for 10 hours a day and making nothing, especially after a couple of days can be disheartening. The only item I feel is that the professional development for escorts takes a very short period to get into the business. It will take years before one truly becomes a comptetent person in their respective field. As escort can accomplish this in a mere matter of months. As I mentioned earlier, it is part jealousy that I cannot do this myself and reap the benefits, but I can take the side that several say screw the traditional route because it is painstakingly long and difficult. I have met a few who do both and I guess those appreciate it a bit more. But power to you and keep that phone ringing. Looking forward to hearing Plan B.Originally posted by sunshine View PostYou know, this is just in fun, contributing to the forum, chatting, etc. But I actually think we are in complete agreement on something here. You talked about having to whore yourself out at the beginning of a professional career and then being able to step up to more reasonable fee level when you become sure-footed in the industry. Hey - that's what I am talking about. I have become sure-footed and I can garner that rate. I am not going to go backwards and now charge less. Would an accountant begin charging less when he his telephone is ringing off the hook with people willing to pay more? Of course not.
You go on to other points that I disagree with. I mean the tax thing is another topic altogether. Another thing I agree with is that we do live in a capitalistic society. If I can capitalize on something, nothing prevents me from doing so. This isn't communism. Of course, I won't keep this up together. As Rantsalot says, I had better have a plan B. And I do! To be revealed in a few months. Can't say more yet - sorry!
To be entirely fair, if I put myself in your shoes, everything you say makes sense. If you put yourself in mine, do I make sense to you too?
Sunshine
Craig, you have the potential to make more but many will not realize it. I am hoping to make some decent coin in my years to come, but it will take more than me putting pictures of myself in a thong on Shemale Canada.
Tia, it will take university graduates an insurmountable time to accomplish your income level. In some cases it is rewarding, but I can't fathom how it is considering going from the bottom to the top (if you can) is close to a rewarding experience.
Again, just looking to stir up some discussion here.

Prices
I am new to this forum and it has really opened my eyes and I am sorry because as a I think people call people like me hobbyists which I don't quite get but anyways The level of intelligent conversations on here and people's honesty and openness about these topics is fasinating. It may sound weird but I now see you girls as people and not just objects of my desires. FOR THAT I AM SORRY. I was one who in the past tried to cut prices and so on until one day I was with a girl and was trying to jew her down on money and she said C'MON MAN I AM SELLING YOU A PART OF MY SOUL. That really hit me hard and stuck with me and I never argue about money anymore. If I don't feel it with a girl when I first talk I just move on. I'me pretty sure if anybody that tries haggling you girls down had to do what you do and I am quite sure all the bullshit you have to put up with would never haggle again. Also I am now officially hooked on this damn site because it is some of the most stimulating conversation I have ever seen. Good luck to everybody and be safe.

Lisa let us not forget those shemale escorts who rely on welfare or government housing with their reason of being unemployable. Their main arguement is that nobody would hire them. They do not only trick the government but also rely on tax payers money to pay them and work as escorts. Hmm...oh well....I guess some people are not scared of karma.Originally posted by tslisaparadise View Postno problem i think the problem is some escorts have never actually had to work for a living i doubt they could do a 9 to 5 job at 20 bucks an hour now there are some who do know what its like say Christina from hamilton she works a regular job and had huge responsability doing it i respect that more then you know and others who do the same thats what its all about the problem is once you cross the line into escorting you get distanced from the real world because of the money we make i for one have never needed a realitty check ive looked at life from both sides now its not only a great song but its an advantage of wisdom that isnt usually achieved till your older.to be honest when somebody leaves after a visit i always shake my head in amazement knowing that i once used to make in one week what i now make in one hour how crazy is that?its not a question of how much i think im worth its how much i need to be able to sleep at night.

Stop comparing your job to being an escort. First of, being an escort takes a lot of courage to do. These girls are putting their life at risk with STD's, crazy clients and the emotional bagage that they have to deal with after each nasty clients. They deserve all the money they get because being an escort is not an easy life fyi. Consider your self lucky to be able to have a university education and quit ranting about how much these girls make because they deserve every penny they get. You wouldn't understand because you've never been in their shoes. You are always ranting about how much they make because you are a client and you pay them money for their services and you are probably bitter because you can't get them for free. But that is reality hun, if you want to be with a beautiful shemale, pay for it. Plain and simple.Originally posted by sensual_lover20 View PostWe agree on something, this is great. I love the money topic and as usual, I'm late to the party. My reality, and many others is that we are working hard so that one day, we won't have to work at all. Let's face it, no matter what we do, most of us are not really doing what we would like. That's why it's called work. (Otherwise we'd be paid to play.) I recently read that only 11% of workers in Canada now have an actual pention plan through their companies. The problem is, the rest of the people have no clue how much money that they are going to need to retire and maintain their current lifestyle. An example is that for a couple to retire at age 50, with no pention plan, would need about 1.5 million dollars saved. And this is only if they invest well and get 5 - 6% returns per year. With todays market who knows.
Assuming some escorts don't pay any CPP, and that the average escort can only make a living escorting until 40-45 years of age. A single escort would need to save over 1 million dollars to retire at 45. How many of you are saving $40,000.00 to $50,000.00 per year for 20 years?.
Quick math, you could easily save that amount of money if you had 10 clients a week, at $250.00 per hour. (Especially if you pay no taxes). So now you're woking a total of 10 hours a week. My opinion is, if I could only work 10 hours a week, make about $200,000.00 pre-tax dollars, I'd do anything for that job. And I mean ANYTHING.
Just an interesting spin that if you are attractive, have the right mindset, and can work as an escort, it is a fantastic occupation. Especially if you really like sex. But like most jobs, it probably becomes just a job.
And at the end of your career, you can do a "Pretty Woman" and meet a rich man to spend the rest of your days. (In case you didn't save that million)
Just another choice for those who won't stay in school.
Plus I want to make sure there are always Tgirl Escorts for my later years.

Truthfully with employment equity in the picture.Originally posted by sensual_lover20 View PostWe agree on something, this is great. From professional development comparatives to capitalism. Companies are looking to hire more diverse employees.
Goverment agencies are mandated to.
So I am a Caucasian Straight Male with a University education.
If a TG with the same university education went against me for the same job they would probably get it over me.
Anyone can make good money in a career if they want, not just me.

University education is not luck, it is hard work and anyone can do it.Originally posted by shemale_patriciaM View PostStop comparing your job to being an escort. I had to work bartending for 7 years to pay for my university, anyone can do this. However i also do not have the option of renting my body either.
I do not agree that University or high paying careers are for the lucky.
They are for hard working people that want to get ahead.
I am not saying how much an escort should charge however, a good career can last way beyond your useful life as an escort and will ALWAYS pay better in the long run.
If escorting takes so much courage and is so dangerous, why not do something safer that pays better and gives you more benefits.
Unfortunately you would have to get up at 8am every day.

Yeah so easy for you to say because you do not have to deal with discrimination and ridicule from shallow and ignorant people around you. Don't you dare compare your self to transgendered people because we live in a society where people are mean and ignorant to people who are different. I am not saying that University education is a luck...all I am saying is that he is lucky to be able to put himself to university because he doesn't have to deal with his own emotional problems. Before you say anything, make sure that you have lived to be transgendered then your arguement is based on facts and will be validated!!!
P.S.
By the way, I wake up at 5 am everyday!

I have just as many emotional problems as any TS ask anyone.Originally posted by shemale_patriciaM View PostYeah so easy for you to say because you do not have to deal with discrimination and ridicule from shallow and ignorant people around you. Who deals with my emotional problems beside me?
I deal with discrimination all the time from shallow and ignorant because i am different than most.
I have lived around transgendered people for years. Many other groups in society recieve just as much discrimination for various reasons.
Anyone can do anything, the only thing holding you back is your mind, not other people.
Why would you be any more discriminated in University than you would in every day life? (Unless you never leave your home)
Society was the way you describe in the 60's and 70's.
Now days everyone is open to anyone.

Listen I am transgendered and I am in University and only one semester away from graduating with a degree. I also once an escort and I decided to change my life for the better. I am working a normal job and I will never condemn my sisters who are working as escorts because I know what they are going through and how miserable for most them life can be. How dare you disregard their feelings and the life that they go through in order to survive life being an escort. My point is whatever it is they make., they sure do deserve everything period.
I am here to defend all my sisters who are working in the business of escorting and for someone to compare the money they make to those who are working as professionals with a degree is just plain wrong. You of all people and Jay who are paying customers must understand them. The bottom line here is you guys are bitter because you have to pay them money for you to be able to have sex with them.Last edited by shemale_patriciaM; 03-11-2010, 03:49 PM.

I just wanted to make a few comments about the money charged by the girls.
Instead of comparing their hourly rate with that of someone with a 'real' job I think it more reasonable to put them in the 'entertainment' category. How much is a 'ringside ' seat at a hockey game or a football match? How much are the players getting paid for an hour or so s effort? How much would it cost to be close enough to smell Beyonce's sweat at one of her concerts?
The punters here have developed a taste for a fetish that requires the company of a rare breed of human being, as Lisa put it in another thread "the smallest minority in the world". Consequently the girls are able to exploit their
scarcity by charging more than the typical female hooker. The internet has allowed the girls to develop profiles and advertise their charms in a way that her clients are able to make their selection ,without pressure, from the comfort of their keyboard. No more the 'Russian Roulette' of picking up a skanky hoe on the stroll. It is easy to find out the price of your prospective purchase long before you commit to anything.
The 'best before' date on most of the girls is not that many years in the future, and what is in that future?
How many of you guys have any real interest in bringing a transexual into your lives, beyond an hour or two of carnal pleasure whenever the urge grows too strong and the pocketbook will allow.
How many of you have promoted 'the cause' of Transexuals amongst your families, friends and workplace?
The girls face discrimination every day of their lives, society is not kind to it's minorities or it's prostitutes. They have bravely followed their inner voices and taken their own path, often dealing with rejection by their families. I feel that we men, who have come to appreciate the 'special magic' that is a beautiful TGirl, have a responsibility to support them and to help them become more accepted throughout our society. If that means paying over the odds for sex then pay up,choose someone cheaper or go have a wank and dream of what might have been.
Just another thought, some of the best purchased TGirl sex that I have had has been with less expensive girls, for the most part I have found the $300 an hour and up crowd to be too full of themselves and incapable of sharing pleasure. Great sex has little to do with what the other person looks like, it's about a connection between two people.
you're only as sick as your secrets.

very very very well said sister,we all seem to have emotional problems from time to time i dont just me transgendered but everyone and nobody and i mean nobody has it worse in life then a tgirl period.90 percent of us tgs cant go a mile without somebody looking starring or gawking at us.being physically different is the worse unless your blind we are looked up down and sideways ya the guys love it gay straight and bi but the girls are the cattiest cunts of em all.teanagers can be cruel you know the peer pressure thing i quess crag you say your like us hmmmm im thinkin not likely we live it open 24/7 theres no hiding who we are and for the lucky ones who are strong enough to deal with it theres no shame only backbone.so there cant be any comparison as we are the 3rd sex period we are not boys or girls we are trans and come hell or high water we will all be able to live in peece one day just not today.Originally posted by shemale_patriciaM View PostYeah so easy for you to say because you do not have to deal with discrimination and ridicule from shallow and ignorant people around you.
