      Re: Covered or Uncovered Oral?

Well I agree that it is a common sense issue. Can you get std's from uncovered oral? Yes you can. Does this mean you will get std's if you have uncovered oral? Do you really want to find out? Try to explain that to your wife or girlfriend. I agree with Mr. Looper.... Always opt for safety. That's just my two cents.

        Re: Covered or Uncovered Oral?

I think StephenS' response is rather carefully worded to avoid any statement of his preference one way or the other. I'm guessing that's because the topic has no doubt come up before and been hashed at great length. You can't really defend your position if you opt for unprotected oral except to say that you are willing to take the risks. I for one am not because of the unknowing position I already put my loved ones in just by participating in this hobby even when I take as much precaution as possible. There's no arguing that a bbbj properly administered by a skilled provider is a mindblowing experience, but a cbj from that same person is a pretty damn good substitute.

Take whatever precautions you feel are necessary to protect yourself and address whatever risks you expose yourself to, and those you are intimate with. If that means uncovered oral is acceptable, so be it, but don't deny the risk.

            Re: Covered or Uncovered Oral?

Since it was my posting of recent reviews that have been referred to for this topic, I thought I'd chime in. Yes I did choose not to have the girls wear a condom for oral and I understood the risk I was taking. Risks are all around us. Being a hobbyist at all involves risks regardless of the gender of the person you choose to see. Many things can happen and I don't need to mention what those things are. The bottom line is that the very best you can do is to decrease the risk factor by always wearing a condom but you can't elliminate it totally. Condoms have been known to fail on occasion. Would your spouse or loved ones or yourself for that matter feel any better about things if you contracted an STD because of a condom failure? Ofcourse not. We make choices in life and we have to live with the consequences. We all hope we will enjoy our hobby without any bad things happening to us and so far I can say nothing bad has happened to me. If you demand the use of a condom for all sexual activity, then you should be commended for that. Those of us that choose not to use one during oral sex know the risks, accept that there can be consequences and deserve not to be scolded because of our choices. If someone was infected with an STD and then saw SP's or hobbyists, didn't reveal it to the person they're with and then infected that person then that's something different altogether. Now go call your favorite provider and have some fun! :-)

I have yet to see a condom fail during oral. Get Ghonorrea today and give it to your wife tonight. Can you imagine the day you see white bumps on your dick, go to your doctor and learn you have to have them burnt off! Then that same night you will have to explain to your wife why you don't want to have sex because you have an HPV. After showing her your dick she will have the urge to go examine her pussy and she will then see that those bumps around her vagina and on the inside of her thighs isn't acne. Over the next year she will see them spread from her lower region to her back and onto her face. All will have to be burnt(frozen) off leaving multiple scars that will not go away for a year or longer. All for what? 5 or 10 min of fun?

HIV is the last thing you should be worried about. If you don't value your life, your wife or your health please sell it to me. I have $150 for you. I will resell it on ebay for $250.

                  Re: Covered or Uncovered Oral?

Well again I will concur with Looper, Sanchez and Obscuredbyclouds. Safety first, and for those of you who are willing to take the risk of a bbbj with a provider... Well to each their own.

                  Thanks.

                        Nothing like a meaningful contribution.
So I've got that going for me.

I have to agree that for the most part, the conversation has been lively and responses well thought out. Keep this up and I won't need to visit the 8 other boards I belong to and can just call this place home.

                              Kent,

My response to veryintrigued was very deliberately "carefully worded" - but not to "avoid any statement of my preferences", my preferences are almost always very clear in my posts/reviews. I can't imagine why I would attempt to hide them in this thread! I appreciate your point of view it is valid. The consequences of our choices are always going to be ours to deal with. For some the potential consequences have an impact on others - whether we care about them or not. If that is the case, I would recommend being responsible for the potential consequences on those others and act accordingly.

My point is that all too often people respond from an unconsidered opinion - if people make the effort to consider the impact, do even a minimal amount of research, and respond thoughtfully, that makes for an interesting thread. When people respond as a reaction to an unconsidered opinion, mostly it is of little interest, at least to me.

                              veryintrigued,

I would never think to do anything to your head, except perhaps to encourage you to post in a considered way. I also don't think it was a stupid question - hey it provoked a very interesting thread!

Do you think the person who said "live for today and not tomorrow" is still alive? Or do you think he is standing funny at the toilet this morning as he grunts while he pees because it burns too much?
