A Night Out in Bangkok

Ahhhhh Thailand lucky you! Paradise on earth. My routine was:

Wake up
Bong hit
Swim in ocean 40 steps from my grass hut
Lie on beach
Bong hit
Banana pancakes delivered by beautiful girl
Bong hit
Lay on beach
Swim in ocean
Bong hit
Bong hit
Walk to bar area around 4
Get plastered with everyone else surrounded
By beautiful Thai people
Stagger home along beach
Bong hit
Sleep like a baby - a drunken baby
Wake up
Repeat
For 3 months!!!!!

If I ever go back to Thailand I'm going to have the exact same routine, except replace "bong hit" with "have sex" and replace "get plastered" with "have a few drinks and flirt alot"! LOL!

Unfortunately last time I was in Thailand I was married and so never got to play, but now that I'm single again I would love to go back to Nana plaza. I actually sat at that bar in the picture and played a dice game with the sexy bartender. She tried like hell to convince me to go upstairs with her! She was smoking hot. I saw many LB there. Some were very attractive.

Crag, where are you getting airfare for $1000? the best I have been able to find online is $2000.

Well I wouldn't mind finding a few more "bong hits" in Thailand.

If you watch Air Canada seat sales you can get a return ticket to Bangkok for around $1000. Normally you can fly on Air Canada to Bangkok for $1500-2000. Sometimes I buy a flight to Hong Kong and buy the flight to Bangkok separately. Air Canada has now double it's flights to Japan from Canada, so I suspect flights to Asia should get cheaper.

Here is the rest of my story, sorry to take so long.

We headed into Nana Plaza to check out Obsessions bar. In my opinion this is the finest Ladyboy bar I have seen. There are also 2 other ladyboy bars in Nana Plaza; Cascade and Casanova. Obsessions and Cascade are classic gogo bars while Casanova is a loung style where there is couches and a bar, it is much more relaxed and quiet.

I snapped a couple pics of the other clubs on the way into Obsessions.






Of course no visit to Obsessions would be complete without visiting with the manager (mommesin). He is always ready to help you have a great time (and spend money) so make sure to buy him a drink and hang with him a bit.


He was nice enought to let me take a few pictures inside however only got a picture of one ladyboy that came to sit with us. Normally you cannot take pictures inside and unfortunately couldn't get shots of the dozen or so beauties dancing on the stage in front of us.


After Obsession closed around 2am we headed out but not home. In Bangkok you never have to go home. A couple blocks away on Sukhumvit dozens of vendors have set up small late night bars along the sidewalk. These bars open after 9pm and stay open all night. Most have some food and tables and chairs just out on the sidewalk. Girls and ladyboys hangout and stream by looking for prosepective suitors.

This particular bar is run by the tall ladyboy with the hat. She used to work in the bars but has a boyfriend now so she bought this cart and runs that instead. Hung out here for a while and had fun.

Often we go to a disco after this but not on this night. However many large discos in the area stay open all night and I have found myself leaving a disco at 6 or 7am.

In Bangkok the party never stops..

You can get the chronic in Thailand if you really need it.
I usually have enough to keep me busy when i am there that I don't miss it much.
Plentiful ladyboys, amazing food, $1.50 Heinekens at the bar and $1 a pack cigarettes make up for it somewhat.

Thailand is not dangerous at all if you are careful.
( just go with someone that can show you the ropes and you'll be fine)
People are friendly and helpful but there is a few bad apples.
Overall it is probably safer than Canada.

I would say Bangkok is the #1 party place I have been.

August -September is the rainy season.
It is cooler which is good for us, but it can sometimes rain steady for days. It pours like crazy when it rains.

I would suggest November - July where it barely rains at all.

Was still hoping to plan a trip for the forums but haven't done much on that front.
I was thinking April-May timeframe. (Not good for a taxman I am sure)
However if a bunch of us want to plan a meet up there, i can maybe work something.
I went to Bangkok in August of this year and it rained quite a bit.

Also I looked on Expedia and there is lots of flights to Bangkok from Toronto for great prices.
I only fly Air Canada and Star Alliance airlines so I can build up Aerplan miles and Air canada status.
One flight to Bangkok can get you enough Aeroplan miles to fly to Montreal free.
I have elite status on Air Canada which means I get free lounge access at any aiport.
(Free booze, food, showers, internet, tv etc.)
Also I get 3 checked bags and I can check in at the first class counter always.
Plus I get a stack of upgrade certificates for First Class.
When I went in November Air Canada had a special of 7500 bonus aeroplan miles for flying to asia.

I don't look for the best deals, I always fly Air Canada period.
You just have to sometimes sit tight and watch for seat sales.
China airlines and some of the other asian airlines can sometimes have ridiculously low prices.
Don't ever fly United Airlines anywhere if you can help it!

Sometimes it is cheaper to buy a flight to Hong Kong or Japan on Air Canada then buy the rest of the flight on Thai Airlines.
Tha Airlines is quite cheap because they do not have almost any taxes and virtually no fees.

It is at least 20 hours in the air to get to Bangkok from Canada and I am willing to pay a little more for comfort.
As I said, the flght to Bangkok will give u enough Aeroplan miles for a short haul flight in North America. (Up to a $500 value)
So with all the benefits on Air Canada I prefer that.

I consider anything $1600 and under a good price really.
Once u get to Thailand everything is so cheap, my advice is get the shortest most comfortable flight possible so you can enjoy things when you get there.

Truthfully, Thailand is best enjoyed when drier.
It rains like a bitch in there and truly for maximum enjoyment you dont' want it to rain every day. Rainy season is also when many girls go back to their home villages to stay with their families to help with the farm or just because things are slower in the tourist biz.

We could possibly plan a forum trip in July, that would be decent there and quite hot.

If you want to see how much it can rain in Bangkok in August.
Here is a video from early August when it had only rained for about 1-2 hours. The water in the streets was up to the top of the wheels almost.
