Song of the week: Placebo - Pure Morning I personally think the song is trying to give the sense that its a plea for help and I am not basing that on the video. "A friend in need is a friend indeed". Placebo isnt really big in North America more so in Europe. I guess you could say they are an "angst" group. Their songs are always reflecting some sort of sadness.

Movie: Robocop And why not post this? This character is iconic. Nearly 24 years after its release and it still gains a new following. The film is violent, has tongue in cheek humor by mocking the society in itself, has many famous one liners it became a modern day classic. Some consider it the new brand of western. All I know is its arguably one of the best action films ever released.

Hey everyone. I've been rather silent lately. Quite frankly I am mentally and physically exhausted. There really isnt much to post except I have not forgotten about the ideas I was stating Id like to see come to fruition that were mentioned nearly a month / month and a half ago. One idea I was wanting to try was a "celebrity comparison" If I get the time maybe I can try one day to post what I'm talking about. Another idea was for more involvement from members on a movie type thingy I had thought of but again I'll have to try and make time for this as well.

maddplotter and lola thank you for your kind words, appreciate the feedback. As for danilover, toyonv, Bawb and others I still remember that I got to get back to you guys about the Jeopardy contest that finished a few eeks ago.

Song of the week: Waylon Jennings - I'm a Ramblin' Man I said at the start of the year that once in a while I'd put up some old stuff. Love country music up until it hit the 1990's. The 90's got too commercialized and the sound became more like pop music. I like this for many reasons and I'd argue that from Jennings that if you wanted an introduction to good country music you listen to him first or Johnny Cash.

Movie: The Good The Bad and The Ugly Considered not only the best western ever made but one of the best movies of all time as well. The last part of the "man with no name" series. Given the calibre of this movie all I can say is this: I believe that everyone in their lifetime should watch at least one western and if people out there meaningfully say they like all movies and want something of great artistry and entertainment then they must watch this.

Celebrity Look-a-like

Hey all. This is one of a few ideas I am hoping to put forth as the year continues. I have been using an internet based tool that does face recognition to compare a persons photo to that of a celebrity. Thing is though not all pictures work. Some photos I used I had to manually crop on my pc to get some type of a match. Most of the time the photos I used would generate a look-a-like of 75%. With that I should say depending on the response of this should I put up more pics in the future I will never post anything that is less than 75%. We will debut this idea with Maria Lee. Many may remember her. Of all pictures I had used thus far she had the highest comparison rating. Ok all. What do you think

Good idea. I find most women are flattered when you compare them to a famous celebrity. If you compare her to an animal, you might get go home alone.

Song of the week: The Verve - Bittersweet Symphony After all this time this video its still revered as one of the most "realistic" portrayals of day to day life. The song in itself propelled indie/alt music into a household term. Some say that's good some say that's bad but all in all the tune just helped paved the way for The Verve and other followers to break barriers. "Alternative" / "independent" wasn't just for the lonely shoe gazers anymore.

Movie: Stargate To those out there who follow my recommendations understand this. Stargate is NOT a bad film but its NOT a great film either. It is an anomaly. Whats an anomaly? An anomaly is something that isn't meant to be. Stargate when it was released did ok and then somehow earned millions in revenue. It's entertaining enough dont get me wrong but its also contrived and slow moving at times. The effects you could say are on par but there isn't anything you see to go crazy about. The acting , again, its ok but nothing special. Curiously enough Stargate then became a tv series and was very popular. Perhaps thats what the issue is, a Hollywood movie that possibly couldve just been better off for television release.

Answer to last weeks question: What is a companion??

Sorry for the late post this week all. Holidays and everything kinda took up my time. Well, I think its safe to say that winter is over all be it there was a snow fall here last week dammit. Oh well.
Its good to see people are viewing the new idea on the t girl celebrity look a likes. I would hope a girl would be brave enough to ask for me to do a comparison instead of I just randomly choosing. Yes there are other ideas in the works too but the days just seem to go by fast. danilover and bawb I'm sorry for not getting back to you guys, I will I will.

I often wonder at times what everyone out there does want to see more of or less of? As always I enjoy feedback and contributions just as wellhungone did with his Soda picture> Thanks!

Oh hey. Maybe I should tell everyone about the near brutal fight I had last week. Yep almost had a brawl at a gas station. That sound interesting to you let me know and I'll share. LOL
