    Rent is due.

    Hi,

In Rent, which has to be my favorite movie, the M→F transgender named, Angel, dies of an A.I.D.S related disease.

Almost all of the main characters are dealing with the disease, but we see the dying scene only of the t-girl, of course.

    That sends a negative message.

In this scene, we see the A.I.D.S. support group as members slowly fade away, one by one.

Mimi, suffers in cold sweats from her cold-turkey heroin addiction withdrawls.
Angel in pain and getting worse.
Mimi's boyfriend helps her with withdrawl.
Then, we see Benny silently inform Mimi, in the strip-bar dressing room about Angel's passing.
Then, we see Tom's heart breaking, as he holds his dead Angel.
Crap! I just started crying watching that clip.

    Babe,
    xoxo

Now kiss and make up, boys.

By the way, Ayran was the word used to imply that the Nazi's tall, blue eyed, blond hair characteristics were a PURE and superior race, which is one of the reasons why Hitler decided to exterminate the Jewish people.

Spelling can make a big difference in what one means to say!

Danilover asks "... and an Ayran is who the fuck knows?"

Ayran as far as I know, is that mid-eastern country that Geo. Dubya and the USA recently engaged in an ill-fated war!

I believe that Babe meant to refer to a sub-race of the Caucasian race - Aryan. The word aryan is derived from a sanskrit word meaning "honourable, respectable, noble" and was more or less approriated by the Nazi party as a descriptor of themselves.

All is going fine until Bugs' helmet falls off thus revealing that Elmer was TRICKED by a cross dresser. And then Elmer starts hunting Bugs again to Kill the Wabbit.

The "wolf in womens' clothing" in this clip is to play on the big bad wolf's image of a trickster. The wolf in sheep's clothing here is a crossdresser.
Doris, one of the ugly step sisters (a tranny) says, "Uh...All you girls...you're beautiful, look at you all...skinny, petite. Look at me. You think i can find a man?...NO! "But you (Fiona, the ugly ogre) you got one. You keep him. Keep him tight."
I know those Flintstone/Bugs episodes(got on dvds), but all men have a non-senusous masculine face, body, hairy legs, hairy butt, etc, and a non-senusuos strong bodily odour. Now put this in a thinly clothed dress and it becomes just that, non-sensually appealing thats why Fred and Barney were made to look ugly and made fun of in lipstick and a dress.

Now a female with the sweet smell of female cum mixed with perfume and a pretty face, sexy figure. hairless butt and softer silky skin in a thinly clothed dress is exactly that, very sensually appealing including females with cocks-

Ha. If this bothers you then British comedy for the last 100 years must madden you. All those men dressed as women for the sake of humour. Bah. Its absolutely deplorable. The Queen's dignity is at stake. Thats Elizabeth II I mean, not all you big haired, glammed up, birdcage and cher lovin dancin boys out there.
Its comedy darling. They certainly could have had a pretty lioness come out of the cake, but that aint funny. Some goofy cat that thinks he's sexy is funny.
Is that a cock in your panties, or am I about to get slapped in the face?

                  Hi discovigilante,

Yes, you have it!!! The media makes fun of trannys for profit! VERY GOOD!!

But that's ok with you? YOU think that's ok to do? So long as it make you laugh?

They form the opinions of millions of people who then treat us badly, and that's ok with you, because the television says it's ok to laugh at us?

What maddens me are the people who live by what the television says.

                  Babe,

Babe, Hollywood isn't one single organization, Like YOU want us to believe. The word Hollywood, (even though an actual place) is used as a moniker to describe the entire US movie industry.

I can ensure you 'they' have no agenda to negatively portray TG people.

The way groups file class-actions nowadays, "Hollywood' actually goes out of their way to not negatively depict ANY type of minority group in a negative or stereotypical way..

I dont believe your claim that 'Hollywood' is hurting TG people by showing in them a negative light.

Just because 2 guys dress up in women's clothing, and lose a contest because they dressed up in women's clothing- isnt a negative portrayal of TG people.

                    .

No, I do not think it is ok.
Human societal life is a grand (meaning neutral, but greater than any individual or small group) cultural system of idea creation and consumption. We all have the responsibility to observe with a critical mind things that are presented to us, and even when the powers of hegemony are at work (which is all the time), every human being has the capacity to make moral and value judgments on the issues that will truly affect others.
All categories of humanity feel the sting of ridicule. The question will always remain: is that ridicule designed for misrepresentation and subjugation or for provocation and service to a greater narrative? The ultimate responsibility to all is to guide the narratives towards positive inclusion for all, but that won't come about by saying no one is allowed to crossdess on TV and be funny.
To put it simply Babe, it is important not to sweat the little stuff or no one will ever find acceptance.
However, I do applaud your critical mind. It is a healthy feature. And that type of mental vigor is what spurns on postmodern thought towards altering the old ideologies where sex and gender were narrowly defined.
Is that a cock in your panties, or am I about to get slapped in the face?

I am not trying to offend anybody with this thread. I am trying to bring some awareness to the methods and perhaps, the history of discrimination on television. I can't understand anyone becoming angry by reading this thread.
