Re: George's Play TS Wednesday NIghts
the trans community's place is with the mainstream and should never be limited to the sex scene, bdsm scene, glb scene or drag shows in the village. I believe GoodHandys, Georges Play and El Convento Ricos are all easily accessable for transpeople who are still nervous venturing out to the mainstream and for transpeople who wish to get together and socialize. Each of these clubs offer a different appeal to its patrons.
I personally have enjoyed myself at each of these clubs, and I have also had my share of bad experiences also.
As much as I enjoy going to GoodHandys or Georges Play and Ricos it would be a great injustice if I limited myself to only going to these clubs. I transitioned to live my life full time as a self identified female over 2 years ago. The idea was to live my life as anyone else would. A life without limitations.
I think its wonderful that these clubs and others have welcomed transsexuals and transgendered people openly. But then, this world and life is much larger then the "village", any one club or even toronto. Go out and enjoy each of its differences where ever you may find yourself, and who knows, maybe one day you will meet a transsexual where you least expect to
I like to think so anyways
