I suspect the anal fistula - a very painful condition - may have been a pre existing condition, possibly why you've had problems in the past, and aggravated by the anal sex you engaged in. Lube of course is essential, anyone knows that, no need for a public service announcement (although I'd love to see one!). Is there a history of chronic constipation, painful bowel movements? I will say she should have been more concerned about your virginity, if you told her. If you let her proceed with no questions or telling her you are new to this act, I cannot blame her. If she had information, then she should have gone easier.

Had you gone straight to a doctor, they could have given you cortisone to shrink the swollen and damaged hemorroids and also given you anti-biotics and cream to help with pain and infection. Also lubricating suppositories and other remedies, such as mineral oil.

I have had no anal problems at all in the past, but rockhart is probably right, that the anal sex just aggrevated it. But my doctor who did the surgery said lube would've prevented the fistula.
