Lol, I was just being sarcastic about ending the pool.

I know they set him up to perform last night. If his first game back was against Chicago or Detroit, would he have done so well? Probably not. He got 4 points last night, albeit against a very weak NY Islanders team - but perform he did.

Agreed that we will not score at that pace all year, but there should be no reason to doubt that he can't end up in the top 10 in scoring, which would still be fantastic. He did go on a 25 game point scoring streak amassing 50+ points last season. No reason to believe he can't do it again, especially if he's 100% healthy.

I expect him in the top 3 if not leading the NHL in scoring at the seasons end. Kessel leads the NHL with 29 points. So, he's got a 29 point lead with 60 games to play. After 1 game Crosby made it a 25 point lead. I looked at the top 10 scorers...Kane, the Sedin Twins, and Kopitar are the only players I expect to see in the top ten by the end of the year. Ovi will wake up, Stamkos will get hot, so will St. Louis, add in Malkin, I don't expect the pair in Detroit or Anaheim to stay quiet much longer and the scoring race will change. All the players I mentioned are young (except St. Louis) and getting better.

For me, it was between M.A. Fleury and Lundqvist....but decided to go with Fleury as he has a better team in front of him that would help his invidual stats.

Don't know about that one. I think Lundqvist will face more shots. Wins will probably be close, but the Rangers are playing a more defensive style. So shutouts I think will also go to Lundqvist.

Hey Shyla..........I'm with you on this........I hate the Bruins more than the Leafs as well.......only decent goalie left was Thomas (came in late after the draft).........those Boston Goons are a tough team to beat, especially when Thomas is hot.........

Seriously...Lundqvist will put out better numbers. I had Price and Lundqvist pegged at my goalie position. Price won out because he will start 70+ games. That's a lot of shots. I figured shutouts and winds are about the same...but guys like Price and Ward see a lot of shots. Price and Rinne start a lot of games. Price is everything to the Habs. There is very few other teams that can say that.
