Though I understand the admin's actions to remove the comments, it's unfortunate that in doing so Barbie will be able to escape the reach of our legal system. Human rights tribunals have ruled people to pay in the thousands of dollars in compensation for similar comments.

But seriously the real person we should hold dear in out heart is Ms Eva Lin. I hope the emotional scars of this attack does not stop her. I hope she is able to heal physically and emotionally.

The rest of Canada needs to clean up its own act too !!

This just happens too be the situation of too many blacks in the US today.

The problem in the USA is not race but class that causes the problems.
There is a huge gap between classes in the USA, so many blacks are trapped in the lower class with no way out. This is not their fault.
So call the culprits dirty scumbags, but not because of race. Depending where you are in the world it could be any race of scumbag that does this to people, depending on the social structure.
Everyone thinks their races is best, that is just natural, but you don't need to diss other races based on a tiny sample of people you have met in one city or seen in the news.
Crime in the United States is a huge problem.
They have the highest rates of incarceration in the world.
All they do is train more criminals in jail the way things are going there.
The war on drugs and the crackdowns on prostitution are ridiculous.
They trap people in the lower class then lock them all up.
Hopefully the legalization of pot will continue and they will stop throwing half their population in jail for weed, that is the stupidest thing of all.
This is a terrible thing that happened to her, however it is no excuse for a racist tyrade.
I won't apologize for deleting it.
We in Canada should not feel so smug about this problem, as so many of us Canadians are want to do!
We Canadians have our own Made In Canada ethnic problem here, right in our midst! I speak of the plight of our own aboriginal community in Canada. We treat our native population with the same disdain as the American citizenry does to their underpriviledged citizens only because of ethnic origins.
Our country even has the same situation as does the US in our prison systems with incarceration of aboriginals surpassing that of all all others despite their being a minority in population numbers. Just today a report that in the last 10 years their rate of incarceration has doubled.

Ban the bitch
I know I'm not the only forum member who has grown oh so tired of Barbie and her antics.
She thinks she's "edgy" and entitled to spew her nasty goo when and wherever she likes.
I make it a practice to never click on her threads, but that doesn't keep her horrible avatar out of my face because she relentlessly trolls other threads too.
Perhaps a lengthy suspension would make her see the error of her ways, but I doubt it.
She's gone from being a somewhat amusing freak to an annoying misfit.
Why anyone would want to get within two city blocks of her is a mystery to me.
Freedom of speech (however idiotic said speech may be) is a right, But Barbie seems to consider it an obligation.
I didn't see the offending remarks, but then again, knowing Barbie and her limited capabilities I didn't need to, the fallout says it all.
Now go ahead Barbie, call me a fag and post a picture of a big steaming turd.

Rights and freedoms
I've spoken to Eva indirectly. She seems to be taking things well thus far. Such a tragedy. She is still a little shaken about the ordeal.
On another point , since when did Canada have a constitution? I know through our history we had confederation and we have created a Charter of Rights and Freedoms plus several "Acts" i.e. The British North America Act for example which made us a dominion way back when but no constitution.

1867 saw the creation of our constitution and our country.
Britain held our constitution which could be changed by British parliament only.
That was Trudeau's last achievement was freeing the constitution from Britain.
The Charter of Freedoms and rights is part of the constitution.

Canadian and American law is based on British Common law.
Both countries have adopted components of Britains political system.
Canada has adopted a model much closer to that of Britain tho.
However Canada follows almost the exact same laws as USA almost because we don't want to spend the money to litigate the same issue again in Canada. So we take US precidents mixed with British common laws.
So what I am saying is there isn't really that much difference between us all.
