Why don't we make a thread of hotels with possible issues?
I sort of had this thought with the Hotel reviews a while back.
It hasn't taken off probably due to discretion.
Much of the problems at these hotels has been caused by the competition informing them of the status of their guests.
This practice seems very engrained in Ottawa and Calgary especially.
It may be that advertising where to stay or not to stay may just lead to more issues.
Many just like to keep their "secret" places secret.
A bad hotel list may just end up like a bad client list.
Hotels may just get added because someone had a personal problem with them, not that they always cause trouble.
Part of the problem is people sending other people to scare the competition.
This has led to violence and attacks in the hotels, in Calgary specifically.
I do not blame the International Hotel at all really, I don't even live in Calgary and I have heard of much problems there.
It is not the hotel that has caused the problem.
The police don't think twice about kicking the door of your hotel room in.
Guess who the hotel needs to go after for that.
Usually they don't charge enough on your credit card to pay for a police take down.
Even if you end up being innocent, you would probably still be libel to pay.
The best hotel chain is Intercontinental Hotels group.
Get a platinum membership and it will do you better than any travel site.
The Calgary Crossdresser club met in the restaurant there on Friday nights.
So the the hotel didn't blink an eye at non matching ID and that type of thing.
They have very nice rooms, some of the better suites are fantastic.
It is just off downtown but near tons of stuff.
The holiday inn express on 8th has some nice rooms too.
Not much near here, except the twisted Element.
Anywhere in an 6 block radius of the The French Maid is a hot zone.
The French Maid is a center of much activity down there.
International is right there.
What i said was it is illegal for an escort to operate from a hotel room in Calgary from my understanding.
Hotels are not zoned for this type of business and families do not want to be staying next to escorts.
As I said, in Calgary nearly all shemales from out of town staying at hotels are escorts.
You have a 90% chance of being right if you are the hotel in Calgary.
Not zoned are just 2 fancy words for discrimination that over powered law makers get away with. There are probably millions of people who are on the job and travelling such as a draftsman or secretary doing typewriting or drawings in a hotel room and theyre legally allowed to. Is that room zoned for their line of work? So if they can legally preform their line of work in a hotel room then why not escorts? How do they think a working escort will violate the rights of a person or family in the next hotel room? The escort wont break the walls or make loud noises. And over 10 or 20% of shemales are not escorts so the hotel clerk cannot assume every shemale is an escort, to do so would be discrimination leading to law suits against that hotel.
Thats like assuming every pretty woman with a big butt and tits walking down a city street is on the job and I cant beleive police get away with that all the time. Ever see the show Cops? A person just reports to police that he saw a hot woman with big breasts in a small t-shirt talking to different men and police approach her within seconds which actually happens in the tv episodes. One black woman on Cops took a fit and was hitting a police officer after she said to him "so a black woman cannot wear a blonde wig without being approached by the cops?"
This story reminds me of what i went through during victoria weekend in 2008 in Montreal. I went with a gay friend, and he asked the owner or the employee if theres any free rooms in the motel and he said yes. Now as soon as i got out of the car, and the guy saw me, he told my friend sorry,, its all booked. lOL... wow... he didnt liked me cause im a visibile minority who appears as a transgender prostitude. Its funny cause i wasnt working as an escort back then. Oh well, we got another place further down, a little bit more expensive but one of the maids stole my blow dryer while we were away. Geee, unbelievable eh?
Here's the deal with the International. I go there quite often on outcalls. They are very friendly and accommodating. Nobody has even asked for my license which they have the right to do. It is also a very nice hotel, great rooms, very clean. The issue here is exactly as Craig reports. The International is one of the few hotels in Calgary who do not want escorts staying there because it is against the law for them to work from a hotel room (incalls). This applies to females, shema;les, males, anybody they think is an escort. The city managed to get a few hotels on board with the idea of cooperating with bylaw. So, if they suspected you were an escort, that would explain why they refused you. The alternative would have been worse, letting you stay, watching your room for traffic, and calling the cops on you.
Anyway, the International is key-card access for the elevators which makes it a drag for working - not a good choice. Great choice if you want a nice room and you aren't an escort.
There are dozens of hotels that don't think twice about escorts. Some actually welcome them. When I visited Calgary before staying there, I used the Holiday Inn on 8th. There is one the girls use on Macleod. I liked the one on 8th because it was downtown.
There have been a few threads about Calgary hotels. They ought to be searchable.
Hotel hassles are a drag. Sorry it happened to you. However, better know before you go and book the right hotel.
Did I read right about someone recommending the Best Western on Macleod? If so, bad idea. It is another of the cooperating hotels. As I understand it, the owner calls the cops on girls working out of the hotel.
Another great hotel that IS OK to work in is the Sheraton downtown (Eau Claire). It's not key-card access and the rooms are nice, many are suites.

www.ts-sunshine.ca You may find many copies of my style around but I am proud to be an original. If you want a beautiful shemale, I'm your girl.
True nuff. The hotel has the right to refuse service unfortunately for you cause yooz is a classy lady. Also expedia rates are inflated. Call the hotel personally and get into a rewards program. Sorry about your hassle.

Who the hell do you think they are discriminating against?
They are not cooperating with those that are breaking the law, 2 different things.
Zoning is what keeps a chemical factory from opening up beside your house.
Zoning is what keeps people from starting assembly plants in the apartment next to you.
What if they are renting the room to make meth and sell it, is that ok?
Families are happy to risk staying beside meth labs?
Hotels are used for sex but they are not meant to be brothels.
Families don't want to stay beside hookers, plain and simple.
Prostitution is for adults and often they are involve in other unsavoury activities that people don't want their kids around.
Generally hotels are zoned in retail type areas.
They are not usually in industrial areas.
Industrial areas are where many places zone prostitution, strippers and brothels.
Hotel rooms are meant for lodging, not conducting business.
Yes some business is conducted there but the the rooms are generally meant for sleep.

No I just said south macleod is just more low key.
I would never stay at that BW on macleod, it looks weird and is in a stupid location.
The best western suites I meant is the one near the red mile off 17th ave NW.
It is pretty low key there and it the bar downstairs used to be a tranny hangout.
So trannies didn't set off any alarms there and they have great rooms.
It used to be an apartment building so it is not near other hotels.
Not sure what it is like these days.
As I said most of the scrutiny is central downtown at the major hotels.
In the end, there's really nothing I can do. They are right. I'm an escort working in a city with strict Laws. I don't stay long, not wanting problems with anyone. It's my own fault, and could have made better choices and having multiple resources that could have helped me with my choice was foolish on my part. Live and learn.
Soda helped me out and I just rented her place. Easier. She was awesome to me. Nice when people reach out for help and it's there.

If hotels were to refuse ANY or ALL transgenders a room because they assume ANY or ALL transgenders are escorts then that is discrimination because over 20% or 50% of tranz who rent a room are not an escort. Ir is ILLEGAL for a hotel to refuse a person a room just because of their gender, that is pure discrimination. To also assume ALL escorts and prostitutes do unsavoury or other unsavoury activities is also discrimination. EVEN WHEN a transgender admits shes an escort to a hotel clerk but also informs the clerk that shes not working as an escort during her stay, the hotel clerk cannot assume or prove she'll be working as an escort in her room no matter how many gents visit her. Assuming she is working as an escort during her stay just because she is an escort then refusing her a room based on this assumption is discrimination. So an escort cannot have a day off and rent a hotel room? Do ya see how all of this is discrimination?
YES I do agree there should be some zoning restrictions but only when a certain business will interfere or disturb a next door neighbor including in a hotel such as smoke or fumes from a chemical factory. BUT if theres no disturbance or interference from a certain business then a zoning restriction should not apply. These zoning restrictions have been passed on by over controlling society members and government since forever and they need to be adjusted and re-written.(thank you your honor-I know i would make a good lawyer, ha).
