unemployment fluctuates slightly but largely stays the same, average wages lower while economy grows, housing is overpriced virtually across the country, minimum wage is below poverty, manufacturing is gone and immigration increases. Seniors spending their pensions on meds, military with PTSD or severe injuries tossed to avoid paying them pensions. We're getting it on more than one level. The countries getting the manufacturing are also getting the immigration...one Canadian loses a job, an immigrant takes it. Stats remain the same, sure looks like a good job on paper.

With federal assistance we even train them to take our jobs.

Yes Gypsy sounds like someone is "cooking the books" and "robbing Peter to pay Paul" to justify some of these policies

          Common Sense.

Reading everything that has been written, I do not see any Eastern Arrogance. What I see at work is something called democracy. Without leaders from this area of the country, your voice will never be heard and your needs will not be met. In democracy, "The Needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few". In democracy votes determine choices and leaders.

Personally. I do not understand why what others think of you or where you live matters. I have been to Regina. It's awesome there. People are farmers, warm and friendly. You have the best telecommunications prices in the country. And....Regina is a nice place to raise a family...away from the craziness that we all call life. It reminds me of Montreal a lot, he way the trees line the city streets. I had these boneless ribs there and this amazing pizza....I have been craving those since. And you're a football crazy town. If it wasn't for the insane salaries in the NFL you should have a team.

Like I said...Forget what people say. Regina Rocks, and if people think nothing of your amazing province and stay away, you are all better off from it.

Your right Shyla these are the numbers and this is democracy. This is also an illustration of why some would think Western Separation (Man-BC) or Quebec Separation is a good idea. If a region feels that they can be relatively self-sufficient and that the whole of the country they are apart of does not truly reflect their interests, identity, or culture; or that they are losing more by being in the "Union" as opposed to being a separate entity then separation is going to be seen as a viable option. Then as a country they can re-establish their relationship diplomatically and economically with the rest of the country or other countries on their own terms. Canada is a huge geographical area like Europe is with a wide range of cultural and regional interests and characteristics. European countries have maintained their separate identities, governments, etc though obviously moving toward a unified monetary system and open trade. I know this is a different picture historically as to how Canada was founded and settled, but again can see why certain groups and regions look at the numbers and decide their only option is separation.

separation is always an option. Should the west depart onto their own or should Quebec alone should ever separate then logistically the Atlantic region would probably go their own way. One item missing from the chart is unemployment numbers. While Canada national average sits at 6.9% Atlantic region numbers are much higher. NS 8.6, NB 10.7, PEI 11 and at NL 10.4%. Sask 4.3, MB 5.5 and BC at 6.8%. They also have the highest welfare numbers. Not known are the people that are not even a stat anymore, they are merrily a number at Stats Canada as part of the population. The Atlantic province unemployment numbers would be much higher were not a large number of their greatest resource, young educated people, working in AB or Sask. The west is a saviour to many.

Personally, other than the Maple Leafs I don't believe in east arrogance either. I believe in political arrogance for reasons we're all too familiar with.
