Deference, co-operation and respect saved me from having a Criminal Record.
I can and will happily add to this thread. I am full agreement with Fantasia on acting with co-operation and respect! It paid off big-time for me!
Many years ago I was “patrolling” the streets of Winnipeg one hot and humid Friday evening and spotted a luscious young lady. (Actually they were the only two fine looking girls amidst a lot of trashy ones and BTW both were obviously GG’s as at the time I was really innocent and unaware of T-Girls!)![Grin](https://tgirlforums.com/yabbse/core/images/smilies/grin.gif)
I pulled over nearby and one of them strolled over and a conversation with one took place. I noticed the second had her back to us most of the time but too late I realized she was probably wired and describing my car and license number as the other girl and I spoke. I decided not to proceed with the proposition and took off for home. Within about a block and a half a beat-up old wreck with two scruffy looking guys pulled alongside, a badge was flashed and I was pulled over right on the main street no less, charged, arrested, spread-eagled against the car, searched etc, and taken to the station.
While there they pulled the good cop/bad cop thing on me. Officer Good left supposedly to find a JP, came back after a long time and said I was released but that had to appear in court on the Tuesday following. As I was escorted out of the inner sanctum I asked “If you’re going back there now how about a ride back to my car?” (about a mile away)
They agreed and in the car “Good” said to me “Be very sure you attend court on Tuesday!” then a while later, “I can’t stress how important it is that you be in court on Tuesday!”. Of course, I assured him I would, was dropped off by my car while they returned to pick off the next sting victim and of course I showed up in court as directed on the Tuesday.
Being very anxious to hit the highway to return to Ontario that day I made sure I was there early and when the Crown Attorney came in I was the only one in the room so I approached her to ask if she could tell me when my case would be called because I had a two day road trip ahead of me.
After a hurried search of her files she told me my name did not appear on the docket that day but that I should remain anyway. An hour or so later the judge called me and announced that after a search of both the court house and the police station no records of my arrest were to be be found, that my documents had obviously fallen through the cracks and that I was free to go.
Coincidence? I think not! I am sure my good fortune was mostly because of my attitude and cooperation with both Officer Good and Officer Bad who both badly needed a shave and some clean clothes!![shrugg](https://tgirlforums.com/yabbse/core/images/smilies/shrug.gif)
Their actions saved me from having my name and address printed in both daily papers for "Solicitation" as was the custom then. Even more important those two saved me from having a criminal record!
