Russia is not a failed state dude, they are economically prosperous and solid.
Corruption or poverty does not make a failed state per se.
(Canada has one of the highest rates of poverty in the developed world)

She had 4 jobs 2 government jobs (not political) to earn working 6 days a week 12 hours a day to make $650 a month. She's a teacher (government job) who got paid for 2 months sacks of flour and grains because the government was broke! And that was only 6 years ago. In the meantime Parliamentarians, Pro-Russian all of them born from USSR era, are piping the money into private bank accounts! Most Russians and Ukrainians continue to live in communist style apartments. Average salary for Russians and Ukrainians is about $300 per month US or $3600 annually. Yanukovich stole for himself 10 billion per year. That's why they have nothing! You make no sense whatever! Only people prospering are the people close to the corrupt politicians. I'm left wing...WHAT A JOKE!! I know how they live...stop going to Thailand for once...go to Russia and Ukraine and see the poverty. I've seen it their cities, towns and villages are rampant in it.

I've been to Russia and Ukraine. My wife is a highly educated born and raised Ukrainian! She has 2 degrees and speaks 5 languages. While living in Ukraine she had 4 jobs including 2 government jobs (not political) working 6 days a week 12 hours a day to make $650 a month, far above the average monthly income of $300. She's a teacher (government job) who got paid for 2 months sacks of flour and grains because the government was broke! And that was only 6 years ago. The bitch just getting out of jail was no better...and now she's running for President and being hailed as a saviour, thanks to Yanukovich! In the meantime Parliamentarians are piping the money into private bank accounts! Most Russians and Ukrainians continue to live in communist style apartments and broken down old houses. Outside the cities and towns they still use the outhouse. They don't have cars, only the rich or mafia have that. So, stealing is popular and if someone buys a car...it could be HOT!!!

I think if it was a valid referendum and vote for Crimea to rejoin Russia there would have been a proper order to putting this into effect instead of immediately moving to military intervention before the vote was even done. I would rather live in a western democracy than in any eastern or third world dictatorship where the leaders fleece and oppress their own people. My Dad's family came from Romania and Nicolae Ceaușescu did the same there bleeding the country dry while he lived lifestyles of the rich and famous.

The deal that was made available to Ukraine today by the IMF for $16 Billion "loan" comes with severe austerity measures that will effect all government employees in a severe way with cuts to health, education, infrastructure and much more..

It's unclear if the current un-elected leader of Ukraine has the authority to sign it. It will likely have to be ratified by the new government after the upcoming election..

Russia is a completely different lifestyle than Canada or USA.
I wouldn't say it is better or worse, only different.
How exactly do you know life is worse in Russia? Because you say so?

Our jails are full of people in there for weed, in a few years this won't be a crime anymore.
