Aside from stirring up the occasional shit on others threads, I don’t actually start many threads myself … I really don’t have the time, and there really hasn’t been a subject that had inspired me enough.

Until now.

I’ve been seeing a girl here in Edmonton once in a while since around summer 2012, a VERY passable girl with looks and voice that I’m sure could give many supermodels a run for their money, and I’m not exaggerating!

She moved here from Indonesia on the controversial temporary worker program around 2 weeks before I’d met her.

Like many newcomers to our great country, she was very lonely. A laid back, quiet talker who more than anything just wanted to make some friends here.

Being as I liked her as a person as well and I did feel some pity for her, I became a friend to her in a small way. I would call her up once in a while just to say hi, I’d take her for dinner and drinks … and we’d share some occasional friendly texts.

I told her about Shemale Canada, but being a very shy & discreet person she preferred to just put up ads on Craigslist once in a while under the t4m section.

I hadn’t heard from her in a while, so I sent her a text a few days ago. No response … odd, she usually answers back right away or within a few hours.

Tried again. Nothing. Maybe she met someone and is moving along in her life. Good for her, I thought to myself.

Out of curiosity, I did a search on Google … and was shocked to read from some old news stories that she was murdered at a seedy hotel room in November of 2013!

Some 20 year old punk met her there, then bludgeoned her to death.

Not much was given in the news details, but reading between the lines I can only imagine that this low life thought he was going to see a gg … then he flew into a violent rage once finding out that she was actually a tg.

Police tracked the murderer down using her cell phone records. He left the country for Europe the day after murdering her but Border Officials caught him when he attempted to return to Canada 2 weeks later.

Anyways, this was a real eye opener for me, and I’m sure that this is a real fear for a lot of the girls in this trade as well.

Although I feel terrible that this happened to someone I was intimate with … on a more selfish note I began to think…

They caught the murderer by accessing her phone records & checking her FB account … What if I’d sent her a text the night before she was murdered? Would the cops have come pounding on my door? Would they come to my workplace to question me? How many of my texts were still on her phone? Since my phone number was on her phone, would my phone number now be in police data bases?

Something I think all “hobbyists” need to think long and hard about before giving the next girl a call…

No she wasn't giving away "freebees". She preferred to advertise on CL for hook-ups, then would mention payment discreetly to help pay for the hotel room when someone would call her, although I didn't initially meet her through CL myself. Like I mentioned, she was on a temp-work visa so she was trying to be very cautious so as not to screw it up.

In my experience with her, she wasn't in the habit of tricking straight guys into sex just to feed her ego (like some girls). She was just very very low key, and most likely just assumed that guys would know she was tg.

When girls use craiglist to go low key they have to contend with all the other people that use craiglist to go low key.

Craiglist seems to be riskier than most.

I wouldn't worry too much about your information staying with the police.
If the case is solved there is no reason for them to keep your personal information.
Generally private information cannot be retained if it does not have a specific purpose.

As far as the police coming to talk to you, that is a risk if anyone you know gets murdered.
Of you are going to be nervous about her being and escort well I don't think they would do anything about it.
Besides you just had an intimate relationship, that is not a lie.
But there is no reason to lie, and that is the only thing that could get you into legal trouble.
Possibly could be worse if it was your drug dealer that got murdered or something, but not much legal risk around an escort.

The only other worry is if you have a family at home or a girlfriend.
I doubt the cops would show up at your house without trying to call you first.
For sure they are not going to hunt you down at work unless you are the prime suspect at large.
Often they reach out by phone as their first point of contact to first weed out the suspects.
I think television exaggerates the amount of times cops go out and interview people at their homes.
Shows would be pretty boring if they just sat in the station house and phoned everyone.

Police don't want to cause you trouble if you are not guilty of anything.
They worry about privacy just like you do.

I find working from a place that has security cameras is really good too. Most modern apartment buildings have secams on all the doors and it's all on DVR so the cops can access that if they need too. I don't believe that being a transgender is the cause for this tragedy. CL is full of psycho, stalkers etc. Any girl who is not taking safety measures will end up sooner or later with a bad incident. At time of disaster, the police will have access to any trail of information possible but these guys are not stupid to knock the door of every contact. They have their own methods of narrowing their search to capture the real suspects.

Being a stranger, not knowing the rules of the business is what set this girl to fail. It appears that she followed a street worker model through CL.

What a terrible story to hear about. I don't think you have anything to worry about with the cops. If the girl lost her life in November of 2013 and they caught the killer and it's now May 2014, the cops would have already tried to contact you if they had those intentions. Crag is also right about the cops not keeping those records. I highly doubt they would. They can't use the information to call the clients in a sting operation. That would be entrapment. I could see where the contact information would be useful to the cops if the girl survived the attack and kept escorting and there was a case brought against her. Then they might contact the clients for information to strengthen their case or something like that but if the cops were remotely interested in you as a client or a person that they thought could help their case against the killer, they would have contacted you a long time ago.
