I have found emails to be the best method and brings me the best clients ever. The most intelligent and sophisticated, the ones who plan ahead of time and take their time. I don't accept phone calls and prefer texts. If a client wants to clarify and asks me to call, I do it but after he followed my rules and texted me.

You can tell a lot by the way people write, more than their voice, in my opinion.

I recently invested in getting a phone for this line of work, and in the last 3 days - it seems to have caused more stress than benefit.

I always screen new people by voice.. It's good to talk to someone first and be clear on what they want vs what I can provide at the time..

It's also a good way to screen for people that are drunk, high, fishing for info, playing games etc..

Once I know someone then texting is sometimes ok but generally I'd rather you phone me by voice so I know it's not your wife texting me..

I've lost a number of potential clients perhaps from texting and then they would not call by voice to set it up..

I can only think that they were up to no good if they could not provide me with the courtesy of talking to them on the phone before I give them my address..

If I'm in the same city, i will call...if i want to plan a date, I find e-mail is best..
