Me Hostile? I'm not the one telling girls that only real Trans get SRS, or telling the same poor girl to get her hormone levels checked. Then you post changes to the criminal code but that doesn't support your statement about all real Trans need SRS at all. In fact that supports what I said in the first place which is LEARN TO ACCEPT EVERYONE AS THEY ARE. If you find that hostile, I suggest self awareness.

That's what you were looking for, how the government defines gender identity:
http://www.justice.gc.ca/eng/cj-jp/i...t-apropos.html
About Gender Identity and Gender Expression
There are a variety of individual experiences of gender and of gender expression. The terms ?gender identity? and ?gender expression? include a wide range of gender diversity.
Gender Identity
Gender identity is each person?s internal and individual experience of gender. It is their sense of being a woman, a man, both, neither, or anywhere along the gender spectrum.
A person?s gender identity may be the same as or different from the gender typically associated with their sex assigned at birth. When a person?s gender identity is different from the gender typically associated with their sex assigned at birth, this is often described as transgender or simply trans.
Gender identity is not the same as a person?s sexual orientation.
Gender Expression
Gender expression is the way in which people publicly present their gender. It is the presentation of gender through such aspects as dress, hair, make-up, body language, and voice.

?Transsexual? denotes a person whose sex assigned at birth does not correspond with their gender identity. A transsexual woman needs to live and experience life as a woman and a transsexual man needs to live and experience life as a man. Many
identify as transgender, rather than transsexual, because they are uncomfortable with the psychiatric connection to the term ?transsexual?. Some transsexual people may physically alter their body (e.g., gender affirming surgery and/or hormone therapy) and gender expression to correspond with their gender identity.

If gender identity & sexuality is a spectrum then why do all of you get bent out of shape if you can't all be red or violet. Own who and what you are and be proud of that if that is your journey.*F*A*N*T*A*SA*

I'm sorry but don't put words from your paranoia in our mouth, no one would say anything as horrible as you wrote about srs because most of us have friends who is panning to have srs or already has undergone.
you keep saying it's your opinion. Well ok ... it's not even a controversial topic and here in Canada, (when it comes to definitions), I am de facto a TS despite your opinion.
give me please at least one official source where it clearly states that to be a transsexual you have to undergo srs or to plan it.
again here is a very reliable source
Transsexual refers to a person who experiences a mismatch of the sex they were born as and the sex they identify as. A transsexual sometimes undergoes medical treatment to change his/her physical sex to match his/her sex identity through hormone treatments and/or surgically. Not all transsexuals can have or desire surgery.

As I detailed in my post if I did bottom SRS I would likely die of complications from the ongoing HRT that is required afterwards..
Has nothing to do with you at all..
I invite you to read the post again..
Originally posted by AlexisDVyne View PostWell.. Nothing here says anything about genitalia.. In fact someone like me for instance has had surgery (boobs) which alters the sex anatomically and done hormone therapy (2 years before it caused problems) and I've done what is required to make my outward appearance match my gender identity.. Further I am considered female by law..
Yet I still have a dick.. and it's a very big one.. lol..
I've chosen to die with it rather than die from getting rid of it and staying on a chemical cocktail till death..
I am confident tho that if a transwoman in any operative stage wishes to be accepted as a woman then she should provide that same courtesy to other trans women that are on this very difficult journey through life.. Regardless of how pretty, how much surgery, which procedures and what not, if a trans woman makes the effort to live her life 24/7 as a woman she should be respected as such..
Sometimes I feel sorry tho for those whose gender condition is so bad that they never reach that goal because they can't accept themselves..
Inevitably.. we all reach the end..

And my "paranoia" is based on what has been said in this forum by members who disagreed with me in some threads/topics.
So you can define yourself however you like. I define myself based on these definitions of those seeking or having undergone sex reassignment surgery. Personally I understand that a person's plans to complete their transition may change due to lack of financial means, medical issues, establishing a career as a t-girl escort or porn career that makes it financially unadvisable to get SRS.
For those who start out with no intention of completing their transition with SRS I see as transgender, gender non-conforming individuals. I see a penis as male genitalia and as a woman I wouldn't want that attached to me indefinitely. If you can live with it that's the right choice for you. But please don't say it's because of inferior SRS results/techniques because that's just straight up BS.*F*A*N*T*A*SA*
