I'm 56. Something like this happened to me once by text. I was asked age, height, weight and interests. My stated interests are nothing out of the norm, I don't think. I also emphasized my own practice of safer sex. Beyond that, I also indicated that I'm bi. She never replied, so I guess height/weight or age broke the deal.

Sometime later, I sent a text, saying, "Guess it's not going to work out. No worries. Have a good weekend."

I was annoyed, but I looked at it philosophically. I'm a big guy. I'd say chunky, but that doesn't matter. How many pounds lighter would I have to be to fall into a range that meets her requirement? Let's say I'm five pounds lighter, and that falls within her parameters. Maybe she's really only happy with a guy twenty years younger and twenty pounds lighter, and I'm just not that guy. If anything, I'm more interesting than I was twenty/years pounds ago.

So why invest the time and money if I suspect there's any hangup around age or body type? In a way, I appreciate the candor from a very practical standpoint. I don't have to internalize any shame or remorse about my body. At my age, I'm happy to be past that.

Well, it's been a while since I've posted but I just had a girl tell me she wasn't interested because I was too old. Doc, thanks for sharing. There are many escorts that will be happy to spend time with guys like you, so when someone says no, everyone can go their separate ways and meet someone else. It's best to be with an escort that is comfortable with you instead of someone who is hating it for the cash because then your experience will suck. I honestly would be thankful if an escort was honest enough to tell me "no thanks" up front before I showed up and handed over payment. We should not take it personally.
