Bravo everyone...you've just learned the unpredictability of being/or seing an escort!!
Escorts, you gotta know there will be unreliable customers, and those that yank your chain on purpose. If you can't deal with it, put some restrictions in place to mitigate the problems. If your answer is to alienate the "good" clients then I wish you very very good luck making a living...you'll need it.

Guys, you delve into the world of escorts and expect "truth in advertising"? There are no regulatory boards, or customer service 800 #s, or complaint departments. It's just you and a series of ads, and you have to critique the ads, check review boards...and beyond that..."ya takes yer chances!!"

It's hilarious to read posts of guys that can't believe a picture was phony, or she bailed on an appointment, or it was a little rushed. Do the best you can to find someone that will give you what you are looking for, and hope for the best. You'll probably have some good experiences, and an occasional waste of time/money.

Oh my, I can just see the next movement. Lets get escorts register with the BBB. : Seriously, I completely agree with bigman70. Sometimes you just got to take a chance. This is a review board people. If you post your experience good or bad, hopefully other people will be able to make a better decision on who they see. The flip side of misleading ads is that you as a customer always have the option of saying no thank you at the door and telll them why; the only way to tell a business that they have bad sales practice is with your wallet.

I can't say that I am in total agreement with bigman, but I do understand where you're coming from. It is a risk - for both the escort and the client. It would just be nice if there was a certain level of regard for each other's time.  

On the escort side, it's totally "uncool" for escorts to advertise pictures that either aren't them, or pictures that are so doctored that it doesn't resemble them.  Frankly, I don't know why escorts do it.  Different people are attracted to different things - so who's to say that your pic won't be appealing to a lot of people.  if you advertise "your real self" then that minimizes the element of surprise for the client when they show up and will put them almost immediately at ease and perhaps gain a regular client.  I also feel that escorts should keep their dates.  Much like our time is valuable, our client's time is valuable.  I think it's only fair to contact the client (if possible) that you won't be able to keep the date.   

On the client side of things, I've been very fortunate that the number of no-shows has been very few and I've had even fewer that show up and turn away.  That being said, I think it's simply a matter of courtesy to let the escort know in advance if you are not going to be able to make the date or if you feel apprehensive about it - that way you have an opportunity to discuss things and the client can get a better feeling of whether or not he wants to go through with it.  I also feel that there is a right way to show up and turn away.  There has to be an understanding that the escort has turned away other dates in order to set aside time for you.  If you show up and walk away, you've taken away the gurl's time and earning potential.  At the very least, please be polite and courteous in declining.  The best experience I had with someone that had walked away was that he apologized and said he was sorry for wasting my time and offered me a portion of the donation.  I know those types of experiences are few and far between, but it restored my faith in people, to a certain extent.   

Hopefully the negative experiences for both escorts and clients are a rarity.  The problem is that it's the negative experiences that we remember more!

U guys are defnately right...it's a chance...it's not like any of us want to sign a contract going into it? It's just funny that some escorts can build such poor credibility and expect to continue to get as many clients!!

Thank you smoosh. I guess I live in a dreamworld though. I just wish all escorts treated all their clients with a high level of respect - and of course, vice-versa. I can't help but think of the client who makes a date for the first time and has a horrible experience (such as Randrand, et.al) will probably not want to set up a second date with any other escort. It gives all of us a bad reputation. And on the flip side, I wish all clients treated escorts with a high level of respect. What we do is high risk, in and of itself. The more positive experiences we have, translates into positive experiences for the client.

Thank you smoosh, and you too stevieb and xuxaxsexual   (I do take pride in my education!)  I just wanted to present some thoughts so that people out there know that not all escorts will treat you like crap, as I know the vast majority of clients are very good to me.  It's a highly personal and intimate business that we're in and I hope that it can be respected with that in mind - from both escorts and clients.
