OK, if I add sex worker in there.....which of those professions poses the greatest health risk?

RN , Electrician , Truck Driver......no doubt Electrician is a VERY dangerous job

.....Do you think being an Electrician is more dangerous than being a sex worker?

What is your life worth when you risk it? $50? $100? Maybe that is a better question?

Then if you get injured....then what?

      Just saying you know.

That is a very smart comment Admin!

Yes, some people think escorts have lots of money. For few escorts, probably..for a very..very short period of time. For most escorts, that is not the case.

On top of it, we expose ourselves with greater risks as well...STD..being harrassed..or even killed. Not to mention, we'll have difficulties in building our "normal" future like others (including in our social and private lives).

If we, transgenders, have to escort for a while to support our lives...and if we are pretty popular at the beginning of our short-lived career. Don't be spoiled by that.

The popularity will be so short (especially with tougher competition and new faces on the market), and if we don't save the money for the future. Most likely we'll be the losers...

So, save the money and build up something for a better future!

          P.S:
I will be (slowly but sure) investing much more time for the financial world by the time i'm back from vacation. So escorting will be (gradually) a part time job instead of a full time job. Finance.. business..another tough profession shrk..i'm shivering..

Despite my degree, It will be a very tough ride since i haven't done it seriously in the past. But hey..life goes on...we have to face all the challenges! If I, an escort, is willing to face the risks for the better future. Everybody, especially other escorts, should do the same thing too!!

I provided the salary survey for information purposes, as a guide for comparison. This is an average of Canadian wages. Many lawyers work for far less than $300-400 per hour. You can draw from it what you will.

If you want to compare jobs were lives are at risk.

The average hourly rate of a Toronto cop, which is the highest in Canada, is $36.16
            http://www.payscale.com/research/CA/Job=Police_or_Sheriff's_Patrol_Officer/Hourly_Rate

The average hourly rate of a fire fighter, which is the highest in Canada, is $33.98
            http://www.payscale.com/research/CA/...er/Hourly_Rate

Nurses, many are exposed to infection diseases, some are airbore, some also work with HIV + patients.

The average hourly rate of a nurse in Toronto, which is the highest in Canada, is $27.78
            http://www.payscale.com/research/CA/Job=Registered_Nurse_(RN)/Hourly_Rate

This is simply information, draw from it what you will. We all love our girls here and I mean no offense by these posts. We all value them greatly.

                  that's right

                  On top of it:
How many nurses have been killed so far by their clients...compared to sex workers. Not long ago, one tgirl escort was killed by his client. Nobody has found the killer. 2 years back, some female sex workers were killed in Vancouver. Not to mention being harrassed, raped, robed. How much money do you think an escort has to charge for sacrificing her life..?? $100?

Therefore, some escorts charge $250 or 300 an hour..
It's simply because those clients who can afford that money are (in most case) much better off in term of hygiene and attitude compared to those who pay, let say, $80.

So, the price speaks by itself..it's kind of barrier or protection for an escort as well.

Middle class and upper class clients not only pay the escort more, but they also respect us more.
Here is the quote from Valarie Scott, a Canadian sex worker activist: "most of these guys ( middle/upper class clients) are 99% good people. They can be a father or brother of somebody, guy who works in the bank, a guy who lives across the street ...just a regular, good man.."

MUTUAL AGREEMENT is the way to go for me!

I find this poll very difficult to answer, or mmm actually, it is really impossible for me to answer, because of the way I prefer to do this kind of "business". I notice that Rantsalot has just resurrected an old poll of his, http://tgirlforums.com/yabbse/showthread.php?t=30197 in which he has as one of the choices, "Mutual Agreement".

The reason I have trouble with this new poll of foreskinned is, that in searching, I will have no set price point in mind. When I am looking, it is usually for one particular kind of service, or it may be for one particular girl who may have the kind of reputation, the look, or whatever it is that I desire to find. So, I go looking for a specific service or girl, but not with a particular dollar amount in mind.

I am certain that some fellows not as fortunate as I, are forced to use $$$ as the main guide to their search. If for example, they have been able to scrounge $150.00 by scrimping on their other expenses for a month to save for the occasion, then that has to be their absolute top price, no question about it!

I am more fortunate than such fellows though, because if the specific service or girl I want to be with is set at x $ then that is great, but on the other hand if a particular girl, or service I want is asking for xxx $, then that too is just fine with me. As I have mentioned before in other threads, I will not quibble about the price, because I believe that each girl is free to ask whatever she wants to ask.

Now, if I feel that what she asks is beyond my own limits I will accept that and move on. Some may say then "Ah ha, he does have a set maximum", but no I don't. That is something I would have to do on the spot and unfortunately, it may ultimately be decided by my blood starved upper brain, you know, - the one that is supposed to think logically.

ha ha ha ha...good one Mr. Toban, but unfortunately that's the last part of the anatomy being use by some at the height of passion and when someone is really in dire needs lol... and thinking logically at that point is a large task to do, again! for some.

                      nice post!

                        Lmao

                        LOL...LOL

I'm reading this thread and comparing it to my "donations" thread. You know I never made any comparisons to sex workers to those in other careers and all that. Why justify?? Anyways....

Looking at the results now as compared to those a year ago......still the same...

                        LMAO

People think that anything from 150$ - 200$ is FAIR and ACCEPTABLE.

Don't mind me....it's just Rantsalot. Again my sense of humour isn't shared by most let alone my opinions I have on other subjects.

Well at least it signifies that the majority want it to be under $250 !!

It is surprising to me that no one has yet chosen <$100.
