That's fair MacX. I disagree with your point on limited employment options - employment is a question of job skills and being able to get the job done. Sex & sexual orientation do not figure into this. If a person, be it TS, gay, lesbian, straight, male, female has the skills, that person will find themself gainfully employed by some company.
On the topic of relationships, I agree. Any TS will inevitably find it difficult to be in a "normal" relationship. I have no solution to this other than the (admittedly lame sounding) idea to keep soldiering on. Gays & lesbians had it tought for the longest time. Let's face it - it's only in recent times (last 10 years or so) that being gay / lesbian is "OK". (Even now though it's not always OK, but at least it is generally acceptable.) I think in time, TS will be in a similar situation. (I sure hope they will be!)
