Some girls out there do not escort and are not as pretty as some of us. Some need allot of work to become a woman...again not by choice but by feelings they have within themselves. What other choice do they have, live a life of lies because they have no way to cover this. Why do you think so many Transgendered people kill themselves every year. This is a very lonly and hard life to live.

The cost alone is something you could not even start to add up. Laser, clothes, make-up. Right there your looking at at least $500 to $1000 a month if you do it cheap. Those are NOT things we can do without.

Getting a job is hard enough but try getting a normal job as a Transsexual and a Transsexual who is not that pasable and everyone will know...she will not get hired. They need the help to live, they need the help to complete themselves so they can live and try to give back to the Goverment one day.

Until you understand what some of our day to day lives are like...you will never understand Transsexuals or why it is importent for some that the goverment pays for this. It is medical not personal choice.

As well if your turned on by Transsexuals you might want to know more about us and why we are the way we are. Or just do not post your close minded thoughts...we have enough of that on the street we do not need it here were we should feel safe from judgement.

Now I REALLY don't like this lady. Governments should not pay for peoples sex change operations. There have been Government cutbacks on legitimate services (a family in my hometown was told the gov will NOT continue their child's autism drug benefits) but yet they are paying for peoples sex change operations, this is wrong and it should stop. I don't want to make sweeping judgments or broad assumptions, because everybody is different, and I will always defend peoples right to live the lifestyle THEY CHOOSE.

over the last year i have tried to educate myself on issues pertaining to 'tgirls' and recently to the whole trans community. i will openly say my first entry into the 'tgirl' world seemed purely sexual in nature but it became evident very quickly to me that there was a lot more going on inside my head than i realised. i now consider myself to part of the trans community, possibly two spirited. time will tell.

for the most part people confuse trangender with sex while in fact it is spiritual, emotional and what is inside that makes us what we are. this is also true for the other two genders they just dont know it.

ditto, I can relate to a lot of what you posted there Tasha. $500-1000 is doing it cheap for sure. Back in 2004/05 when I had a good job ($2200/month take home) prior to transition I spent around $800/month on electrolysis..I haven't done any since then. We have sacrificed a lot so we can be who we truly are. People won't understand it (cliche) until they step into our shoes and experience what we have been through.
