I almost understand the way the refs obviously try to make a game out of it when a team has a one or two goal lead in the regular season. But doing in the playoffs makes a mockery of this sport. These are supposed to be professional refs, what I've seen this year, the asses in my old man league are better.

But Leafs are going to game 7 in spite of the refs. Worst thing to give us Leaf fans might be HOPE. But I certainly have it. LOL

    That had to hurt.....

4- 2 goals leads blown during the series.....do you think you might have a goaltending issue?

I suppose we do have a goaltending issue. We have many issues. We suck at 6 on 5 hockey that's for sure. At least I can admit there are inconsistencies. Pretty tough to outplay Tukka though. Does Montreal have a goaltending issue? Are they really still behind Price? That would surprise me. The fans will have alot of excuses (like I do too) for their meltdown, and it seems none of that is on Price.......YET.

Our last game was brutal. Took me a couple days to get over my depression. I mean, it wasn't like losing the last game of our series 6-1 in game 5, to the 7th place team, but it was bad. I guess we could ask, who gave up first? LOL Who am I kidding, our meltdown gave habs fans a reason to ignore theirs.

I hate to keep saying it, but the I hate the way the refs are. I really try not to be biased but of course it's impossible. Anyone see Lucic destroy Gunarson from behind in the corner in the last 5 minutes, then gets a goal. C'mon, in regular season, we would have been on a power play for 30 minutes of that game. Shanahan should have been busy for days after that game. Elbow to the face, cross check from behind into the boards, multiple boarding. First game, an uncalled elbow is a suspension, 7th game, it's part of hockey. The league had an agenda and the Leafs were not part of that. If I had time, I'd find all the videos of every missed call in the series, (like a devoted habs fan) but why bother. Refs will continue to suck and the Bruins will continue to take advantage.

My friend watched the game with me and rarely watches hockey, (but knows the game) His comment was, why not make offside and icing electronic, with an automatic puck dropper, and stop paying the refs. The thought that NON-CALLS does not affect the outcome of the game is ridiculous.

Now, back to the other problem, WHAT AN EPIC MELTDOWN. What is Dionne Phaneuf doing out there? He was exhausted and could hardly stand. Worst captain ever. Why would they not shoot at the empty net when they had an easy chance, how can they miss a breakaway when it was 4-2?

Let's face it, the Leafs were not meant to do much this year, and it was a nice surprise to take Boston to game 7, and come so close. Once this entire city found out that we were meeting Boston, we gave up on them. They surprised us all. For those who believe we have no depth in the minors, we certainly proved we have some.

As a hockey fan, I'll wait a few days and move on to cheer for an underdog, I'll even cheer for Ottawa. I bet you couldn't find a Habs fan that will do that. LOL. I'll never cheer for Boston, but IF they won the Cup, we can all dream how close we were. (A really big dream)

Crosby is way too much fun to watch to cheer for the Sens....

Don't be a traitor. lol As a Habs Fan...Fuck Ottawa...and the Leafs are suffering enough....let's let them be. Blowing a 3 goal lead with 10 minutes left is bad enough...remember our game 4 loss...this was worse.

It was worse for sure. LOL. I have to admit I am an L.A. fan. Never saw them this year but they are sure a playoff team. Damn Boston is playing well too now. I HATE BOSTON.

Ever watch a playoff series and wish both teams lost? That's how I felt during the Bruins/Leaf series. It happened to me during the 99' final too. Buffalo vs Dallas....I hate Hasek and Hull and it pissed me off to know one of those idiots would get his name on the Cup...Pissed me off even more when they did it together with Detroit a few years later.

I'm rooting for the Pens. I don't like the Rangers, San Jose or Bruins...I'm still pissed at Ottawa, LA is an ugly champion...The Hawks should come out of the West and I really wouldn't mind if they won it.

                  Ditto on the Rangers coach..

I'm not sure the Hawks are going to do it, (they have been my team for years) Detroit seams to have their number. I hope they do it but I agree with you, I think it's the Pens year.

Almost to the end. It will be interesting to see who will advance to the next round. I would like to see Jarome Iginla win the cup because he really deserves it for all his years of hard work and dedication.
Jagr won 2 cups with Lemieux. You're a Habs fan....NEVER cheer the Bruins

My prediction from last round stands....Pens-Hawks Finals...Pens in 6

i just noticed that today. and before that was Detroit, so all the best teams in last five years were in it. I'm still rooting for L.A. Chicago has not really shown me any depth, (the games I saw) Their first line and that is it. LA has been relying on their goalie, so if they decided to show up, it will be awesome.

People seem to want Ignla to win a cup. I hate rent a players winning a cup. (Didn't Kaberle get one in Boston. LOL)

Any two teams other than Boston would be great.

Could you imagine Boston wins the cup, EVERY LEAFS FAN WILL KNOW WE WERE ONE GOAL AWAY. (that'll get her going)

                          • I'm really looking forward to hockey starting again. The last 4 games I've seen have been a version of hockey, but you'd think in the semi finals, both teams would be trying to move on, not just one.

And it's getting closer for us leaf fans to realize how close we could have been. The Rangers would have been a cake walk and from the looks of it, Pittsburgh is tired, (from Ottawa? LOL)

Chicago looks like my last hope to beat the Bruins. I just don't think they have what it will take. Breaking the rules is what Boston is best at. And they are proving it can win a cup.

Boston is Toronto's fault. First you trade them the core of their team...then you LET them win game seven. If they win the cup, I will hold the Maple Leafs responsible for this whole mess.

If the Bruins win the cup again, I'm going to start thinking that maybe it was better if the season was cancelled because of the lockout.

                              Fuck I hate the Bruins.

And BTW: The Leafs didn't get past the Bruins. Remember....The Bruins walked over the Rangers...not you. The Rangers had little problems dealing with Washington. A team you probably couldn't keep up with. In the end, you could not get past the first round. Assuming your team would have had the same success as a team as deep as a Bruins is laughable. The fact is this. The Bruins had you down 3 games to 1. They let up and let you back in. A good team doesn't blow a 3 goal lead with 10 minutes left in the third. The intensity the Leafs showed in games 5 and 6 could not be maintained throughout the playoffs. Even if you handled the Rangers...in the end you would face the Pens. And if you think the Pens are tired, could you imagine the Leafs and their lack of dept at this point? You would have two tired teams facing each other. Remember how Phaneuf looked in those last 10 minutes? He was overplayed and burnt out as the Leafs have no one else to fill his role.

The playoffs are never smooth sailing....as a Leaf's fan, you should know this more than anyone.
